Resident Evil has been getting a lot of HD love lately, with the Resident Evil HD Remaster, the announcement of Resident Evil Zero's upcoming HD remaster, and recent talk of Resident Evil 2 possibly getting a remake as well. Now, two modders are working on their own graphical improvements for the PC version of Resident Evil 4.

The mod is being made specifically for Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition, which launched on PC in 2014. An HD mod for an HD remaster may seem odd, but the modding duo Cris and Albert have their reasons.
"With the release of the Ultimate HD version, we have confirmation that while some textures have been upgraded, the majority haven’t," states the Resident Evil 4 HD Project's website. "It seems safe to say that an official 100% across-the-board HD revamp of the game isn’t coming anytime soon, so now is the time to do this."
