Resistance woes with a Herakles

Just picked up a .2 Coil for my Herakles Tank, I've noticed that the resistance reading on my Sigelei bounces around from .2 to .4. With my Arctic Tank it reads constant .2. Do I have a bad coil? If I do is it a big enough problem that I should take it back, or is it OK the way it is?

II'm running the .6 ohm coil in my Herakles and it bounces a little. Doesn't seem to hurt it. Biggest problem I have is it doesn't fire worth a crap below 45 watts and it eats through a pair of VTC-4's pretty quick. Need to find a better coil for it.

The only time I noticed bouncing readings on my sig is when the connection is loose.

I run at 50w on average and it fires fine ... was just concerned about the ohms bounce

That was the first thing I checked, the coil is tight in the tank.

ya a .20+ bounce can mean the difference of several volts. I know my Dark horse was loose an at the setting it read and fired it at 7.4 volts. instant fried cotton hit.

Mine is varying, but not that much .6-.62

Try a different coil. I use the high voltage tank and sometimes a coil will bounce and even go to open (9.9). So I take out the coil and pull the end that makes contact with the base outwards a little bit and that usually fixes it.

I just too the coil back out, and cleaned the ever loving crap out of the inside of the tank were the coil contacts, there was fluid down in that area, also cleaned dirt out of the threads (it was a used tank), it seems to be more stable now, still occasionally moving from 0.2 ohms @ 3.7v to 0.3 ohms @ 3.8v at 50w. So I 'm think I'm on the right track with this ... lol

For the longest time I could not figure out why mom was going through her aerotank coils like a fiend. The first two combined were 5 drags.

Was not until I rebuilt a standard coil and ohm read it. went from 1.2 to 9.5 and pop. the base was shit out of the box.

This happens to me from time to time. It only happens when using a brand new coil . After a day or so it stops jumping bad and will only bounce by .01-.02. Ive gone through about 10 herakles .2 coils and it has done it on maybe 3 of them. I havent had ohm jumping issues with .6 coils, but I prefer the flavor and vapor of the .2's. I still really like the Herakles. As far as subtanks go, it is still in my top 3. (For now... that might change this week when i get my Triton and Starre Pro)

I think SIG mods are susceptible to bad 510 connectors in the mod itself.
My brother found that ohms bounced around on his SIG 150 .... After installing a new .2 coil in his Herkakes base he checked ohms on a separate ohm meter first..it read .21 ohms.... He said he installed the tank on his SIG and it read .27 ohms in the display....
But it kept changing simply by touching the Herkakes around the 510 connection on the mod...Pissed him off thinking it's a bad 510 design used in the SIG mods.....
He now uses the 150w IPV3 with the same .2 ohm Herkakes ...said his ohms are always stable and no more bouncing around...just sayin

On my IPV3 it still jumps around, so it wasn't the Sigelei, on the IPV I'm getting .28-.39ohms

That's odd....I have two IPV3's and two IPV4's that never jump around no matter what RDA/ tank/coil I run...including the Herkakes...
Dual 24g in the Dark Horse reads .3 ohms on a separate ohm meter and reads exactly .3 ohms on the silver IPV3 vaping it at 65w..it stays rock solid at .3 ohms...
Same on the tanks...those read steady too, but I make sure the coil is tight in the base and test the new coil on a separate ohm meter before installing the tank on the mod.....(I've new coils not even close to specs on the box)
Must be doing something right for ohms are always consistent and I'm getting almost 4 weeks on the coils vaping them in rotation every day before swapping them out... ..just sayin

Lol
IPV has been my favorite box mods for about a year now..started with ordering the IPV3 online for $109...liked it so much I ordered a second one on sale for $89... Then my brother was telling how much he liked the completely redesigned IPV4 with temperature control. So I ordered one of those for like $79... Liked that one so much I ordered another one...sorta like eating peanuts, I couldn't resist, lol
But it's great to have them setup at the ready with different tanks/RDA's and different flavors...it helps me to avoid flavor burnout vaping the same flavor all day long...Lol

I'm a single parent so money is tight, lol so can be happy with the IPV3. I prefer it over the Sigelei

That's understandable... But I was buying 4 cartons of Marlboro a month before I started vaping...alot of money was going up in smoke every month....but now the money saved
easily covers the cost of a mod and accessories... And then some..
Trick was finding the right gear for my vaping needs...now it's simply buying juice... It's all good! Lol

so, I stoped at the vpae store tonight that I got the coil from, ... and had them look at it ... it turns out it was a defective coil, they replaced it and its holds nice and steady now :)

I am too, I actually prefer the Herakles over the Arctic. It was just annoying that it wasn't working right

So, back to this topic. I've been using the 0.2 ohm coil in Herakles on X Cube 2 mod and sometimes it'll read 0.29, sometimes 0.23, 0.32, and recently when putting on mod it read 0.88 & 0.68... Maybe it's cause I need to clean the Herakles pin or something.... Idk.

If anyone else has experienced this I would love to hear some input on this. Really baffled by recent resistance readings and don't want to use too much wattage or explode my tank or something lol. Thanks for anyones help on this that responds!
