Nick Cassavetes has reportedly signed on direct the upcoming Road House reboot.
According to Variety, The Notebook and John Q director has closed a deal with MGM Studios to both write and direct, with Ronda Rousey set to star and produce.
Rousey is currently deep in training for her UFC fight against Holly Holm this November. Following the fight, she's expected to begin work on preparing for the film, which is slated to commence shooting early next year.
The original Road House opened back in 1989 and quickly became a cult classic. The film starred Patrick Swayze and told the story of a bouncer tasked with straightening out Missouri's infamous bar, The Double Deuce. It also features one of the best fight scenes of all time.
