something fishy....it goes to 180 watts yet states that it has a .5 cutoff....me no understand....at its 9.9v input level you would be running up to 180w and at 12.6v you would need 315w to push it....but it is regulated, so I know it will silently kick, so this is pretty much selling extra battery space....it will never truly run 180w...I think this box looks amazing but seems a little fishy....Box Mod techs, break this down for us!!! What is the truth to 180w with a min/max of .5 ohms....you would think with 180w they are aiming for sub ohmers, but the .5 seams a little redundant when you can run that with 100w boxes no problem....what am I missing?

I believe it all has to do with amp limits. If you could run 12.6v at .5ohms, that would be 25.2 amps. If you've running 180 watts at .5ohms, then your voltage is ~9.5v and you'd be running ~19amps, which in this case is the max amps that this device is designed to fire at. I would assume it has an internal amp limit >19, but it makes sense to back off from the limit for safety and longevity reasons.

But dont most chips out there cut out at 10A? I guess my real question is, when you can get .5 oms running on a 100w box why would you want to go to 180w? seams that it was made for the use of an extra battery, is this for show and for duration alone?

Well I think the point of getting a 180w mod vs a 100w mod is that you get 80 more watts of power (more power = more intense vape). A 100w mod with 2 batteries can only run 8.4v max, but in this case, having 3 batteries in series lets you run at 12.6v max. Now, I'm probably over simplifying things since I really don't understand how these chips regulate wattage, but the basics are there. With that said, I don't know who is looking for a 180w vape, so for most users, I would imagine it's for show and battery life.

Agreed, although I can also imagine it feeling kind of cheap (it could go either way really). I'd want to hold one in my hands before buying it.

They do have some umm... unique products. I see they are also the ones putting out the Smask clone and the one that looks like a hip flask.
Perhaps it's targeted at an Asian market IDK. Unfortunately the one that looks like a pop can with a retractable atty may be just the thing to avoid fines in many communities soon.
