Rugged wire?

hey quick question... Has anyone used rugged wire weapon x? I'm trying to build a dual coil 24 gauge on a Kennedy and it keeps coming out too low. I'm doing 7 wraps and reading .085. I'm using a IPv4 and it's too low. H
Anyone have any ideas should I go more wraps 8 or 10? I'm running through wire like crazy over here!!!!

Something is wrong. Make sure your leads are held down nice and tight. Never heard of rugged wire but 24g should around .3-.4.

A bigger diameter should work. I kept coming across that issue when using dual 24g kanthal twisted or parallel. I ultimately had to make huge loops, otherwise it was reading around .07.

That type of wire has a lower resistance that's why, it is not kanthal it's a type stainless steel different class wire made out of different alloys

I'm not familiar with that wire and it's resistance. Make sure your leads are snugged down properly first. If that's not the problem then try more wraps and/ or larger diameter if space allows. If you have an ohm meter just build one coil to get your baseline resistance then cut it in half to get the ballpark total for a dual coil build. You'll use half as much wire experimenting. You could also try a single coil build, but I haven't used a Kennedy and am not sure whether or not singles work as well in it.
