The Runaways concept is one that has gone through several different variations since Brian K. Vaughan’s initial run on the book. This most recent version by Noelle Stevenson and Sanford Greene is perhaps the most radical departure from the formula so far, but one still worthy of the great Runaways legacy.This Secret Wars tie-in takes place in the prestigious Victor Von Doom Institute for Gifted Youths. The best and brightest across all the domains have been gathered here to prepare for their future. But a small group of students – including Jubilee’s Night Witches, Amadeus Cho and Skaar, Cloak and Dagger, and original Runaway Molly Hayes – find themselves facing the possibility of expulsion as they’re stuck in detention prior to Final Exam registration.
