Russian v3

Hey gang,
Been doing some searching, both on here and the intarwebs at large, trying to find some reviews etc on the Russian v3. I found a couple vids on youtube, one by VapnFagan and another by Todds Reviews. Fagan wasn't into it because it's not a clouds tank. Todd really liked it. Phil Busardo didn't do a video review of it. I haven't seen any threads on here with anyone stating they had one. Does anyone have one? It seems like a tank that I could really enjoy. I'm an MTL vaper, I have a couple Kayfun v4 clones which I like the vape from but they leak a lot, and IMHO the design of the Russian v3 improves a lot on the design of the Kayfun in that it has true juice flow control which is not susceptible to leaking, has better channeling for juice with higher VG, and the base looks like it would be much more stable for TC if I ever get into that in the future.

Thoughts?

The reason the Russian 91% is called a 91% is because the original design was 91% identical to a Kayfun and 9% different. That's at least what I've heard and what seems to be the reasoning from using the tanks. It's basically no better a vape than any other Russian, it just wicks better with higher VG juice. But there's also been a TON of issues with the V3 tanks in terms of quality control, which have not all still been fixed. As it stands, if you're looking for a MtL tank that can take high VG well, check out the Kayfun Mini V3. The newest Kayfun out. Juice flow control, topfill, airflow control, high VG wicking capable, the biggest Kayfun build deck yet. The Russian V3 in terms of quality is not a good tank. I'm not just saying this because as a native and full blooded Serbian Slav I dislike Russians, I enjoyed the V1 and V2 Russian RTA's a lot, but the V3 suffers many quality problems that the clones didn't seem to fix. The Bachelor is a good single coil RTA with a restrictive airflow and high VG wicking capabilities as well, but it's not Kayfun V3 Mini in terms of quality.

Also, I'm not even sure if you could find a Russian V3 anywhere that's not a clone. I don't know if the full release version is even out to the general retail public yet, but from what I've heard, its construction is VERY shotty. There's a 'mini' Russian with SLIGHTLY bigger wicking channels that's being called the V3, but there's technically no REAL Russian 91% V3 right now. Just an in the works tank being passed around for testing, which has had some bad feedback so far.

I just saw this one today, seems like it'd be up your ally:

The Kayfun mini v3 is not what I'm looking for, I need more than 2ml of juice capacity. I work long hours and am not carrying bottles of juice around to refill every few hours.

I can find a Russian V3 that is genuine easily, VaporDNA has them: http://www.vapordna.com/Russian-3-0-Rebuildable-Tank-Atomizer-by-UCT-p/russ30.htm. However it does not look like it's the new v2 with the wider airflow channels with 7-step settings, and the improved screws on the deck. I have an email into them to verify which version they have? Can you post some links to reviews that highlight the quality issues that you stated there are? I haven't found any such reviews.

That's an entirely different design to the 91%, though I've heard it has CC issues as well. With topfilling on the Kayfun mini you can refill in 10 seconds, so there's that. In one of Pbusardo's videos he stated these issues, then I saw them across the board. Look on Youtube, there's countless videos talking about the crap quality. Unless you're just loyal to that brand, there's countless other well made single coil / single coil compatible tanks that are better constructed and cheaper. But if you like it, the Russian V3 seems pretty good if you can get a well made one, it's entirely different to the 91%.

Aqua series RTA's
Kayfun series RTA's
Bachelor RTA
Springomizer RTA
Murdex Halo series RTA's
Wotofo Serpent RTA
Hurricane RTA

I highly suggest you check out the Murdex, it's got a feature to where you can have two separate coils on the same deck, the coils can be entirely different and you can swap from coil 1 to coil 2 or use both. Cool little RTA.
