RX200 and Geekvape Griffin: Weird TC happenings?

So I just received my Griffin today and once I got it built, I noticed that the temp readings are a LOT lower than I normally get on all my other atties. Normally I set my temp pretty high in TCR mode (setting 91) around 550 degrees or so and, depending on my atty, 45-60 watts. With the Griffin I have to set it at 330 degrees and 65 watts for TC to kick in.
Build is 316L, 32g over 24g single coil Claptons, 7 wrap, 3mm ID. Ohms out to .22

Anyone else having this issue? The vape is great, but it's just really odd to have such a big discrepancy in temp settings. Connections are all tight so that isn't the problem.

Yes last night my griffin started doing the same thing in was Vaping it at 500 last night I had tomturn it down to 400 then it still never reached the temp supposedly. I still haven't figured out what's wrong with it.

I think I didn't let the coils cool enough before I started vaping it. Tried it the next morning and everything worked fine.

I have the same issue. I've just stopped using TC in my Griffin. Interested to see if someone has a fix.

Make sure the 510 pin is screwed all the way in too!

These issues is why I don't like TC personally.. I think it's a overated PITA...lol
That said Ive been running a simple 24g Nichrome build on my RX200/Griffin at 75-80w in power mode with no issues at all..not too hot and clouds are thick and flavorful..can't get any better, well for me anyway..it's perfect right now

I still can't get tc to work in my RX. At all. Works for a couple seconds then kicks into power mode.

I was having issues with TC on the RX200 and my Griffin with 316L (the Griffin would work fine on my Cuboid so the issue was with the RX). Mine was not jumping out out of TC mode though, it would hit temp protection after firing 1 second no matter what temp I set it at. If yours is jumping out of TC mode, it may be your firmware. To check firmware, turn the device off and then press the power button 20x. I believe the latest is 3.0 (don't think there's been a newer update). That should fix it from jumping out of TC mode. Now, if it's hitting temp protection too soon, you will probably have to run it with a different TCR. I've seen 91 recommended for 316L but this doesn't give me the type of cloud/flavor that I'm used to with the Griffin. I find around 120-130 to be the sweet spot for me YMMV. You have 3 preset M modes so you could set 1 at say 91, another at 120 and another at 130. Try the 3 out and see which is best for you. Hope that helps.
