Good Day Fellow Vapster's!

I am very happy to say, after receiving my RX200, Vaporesso Gemini Tank w/coils, batteries, etc., I experienced my first vape using the combination!!!:stars: The first few hits had a kinda burnt taste... almost every vape after has been like a dream come true! Breakfast at Teleo's "The Milk" never tasted so good!:shades: I must thank all of my fellow Vapsters, for sharing information, insight, and direction! Haven't used the Crown tank or coils, yet. As soon as I do, I'm definitely going to share my experience.

I still have alot to learn, surely. I'm so confused, as it pertains to Wattage Mode, Temp Mode, etc., When I tried to vape in Temp SS mode, Temp Control icon appears and no vaping is allowed. 100c, 200watts is what is showing on the screen at the time... I can change the temp, freely, but have no idea how to lower the wattage.:(, while in Temp SS mode. Is it even possible? Maybe, I don't have the correct coil in the tank but I though for sure the coil I'm using is a Ccell .05, SS... no matter how low I change temp to, Temp Control pops up. I have no idea what's going on:wait: but I am sure someone here does. Please, do advise!

Also, I've been vaping on Wattage mode at like 14-20 watts and the airflow and juice flows are both halfway open; a nice cool and comfortable vape for me. 17.3 is my sweet spot, at this time!:teehee: Would you say that is too low, with the coil I am using or should it be ok? 30-40watts with the airflow & juice flow halfway closed, is firing up much quicker(it startled me at first) and a warmer vape, for sure. But, it was just a bit much for me, at this time. No burnt toast or anything, just a bit overpowering...throat hit is stronger and it's just not tasting as sweet.

Any ideas, please share. For now, I'll stick to the wattage mode , 17-20watts. Until, I figure this out...with your help, of course. I must say, I am very happy and excited and looking forward to this wonderful world of vaping!:bingo: Thanks, again! Please, do share your thoughts.

I'm not familiar with that tank myself. Does it use stainless steel coils?

Pretty sure those are kanthal coils (no TC) but they have nickel coils you can use with Ni Temp control.

In regular wattage mode... if you push the watts up, also open the airflow. Or if you like it lower with less airflow... run it that way.

In Temp Control you need to lower watts WAY down from 200w, click fire 4 times to adjust watts.
Click 3 times to change from watts to the different temp modes.
Once using a propper TC coil (Ni) take watts down to what the coil suggests or if they don't, around 40w.

You need to lock the resistance of the TC coil in before vaping.

If with the propper TC coil you are getting temp protection while taking a puff, raise the temp.
If it doesn't get hot enough no matter what temp, raise watts, reduce temp and give it another try raising temp as needed.
There is more to it than that but that will get you by for now. The manual (maybe online) should have all the info needed to navigate the menu.

In TC, watts is the speed to get up to temp and temp is just that... the temp ceiling it will be allowed to hit. You need at least enough watts to get to your temp and past that more watts just gets up to temp faster. 200w however is excessive for a ~40w coil.

fq06, I can't thank you enough! You basically/actually, answered every question I posed... Unfreaken-believable! Only, because I know I can be a bit wordy and scattered in my expressions... You are, like, the best ever for taking the time to respond in such a detailed manner. I mean, really! Thanks you, very much!

I checked the pre-installed coil to find it was a Ccell SS. 5. ohms. 20-40watts. Imagine me vaping on 200watts with these bad boys!? Now, that I have been so educated on how to change the watts in TC(four clicks), I have been able to adjust, accordingly and I haven't found a sweet spot yet... work in progress.:treadmill:

Thanks again for all the insight and direction you provided, fq06! You are, simply, the best!:thanks:

Glad I could help :vino:

So for the SS coils that say up to 40w, try run them at 50w in SS temp control mode and run the temp where you like it.

Temp control is a balance of the watts and temp settings so you just have to play with it to see what combo works out best for you. You seem to be on the right track now though so happy vaping :cloud:

When you get to the crown tank, my favorite coil is the 0.25 SS coil.

Wattage mode, start low, 40w. As you vape, slowly go higher till you are getting the warmth you want. You will probably end up between 50w & 60w.

Running that coil in TC mode.
That will need a custom tcr of 105 set in the M1 slot so check back in when you're ready for that one.

Those coils need to get good and soaked with liquid. Drip into the cotton from the top of the coil till you see the side holes are starting to get wet. Assemble, fill tank with juice, let it sit for 5 or so minutes. With the airflow ring shut off, suck on it to draw juice in and make sure it's very saturated so you don't burn the cotton on the first hit.

The Crown .25 has exceptional flavor, you'll like that one.
