I have yet to figure out if i can operate my kangertech subox mini safely with the claption coil that I built. My question would be this. I am using a kangertech subox mini with an rba equiped with a claption coil reading .6ohm. What wattage is safe to operate this device? My battery is a samsung inr 18650 25R5. 3.6 volts, 2500 mAh with max continuous discharge current at 20 A. If anyone can answer this question for me it would be greatly appreciated. Especially if you could include an explanation.

Your mod will take care of the safety aspect. Your battery could push 20 amps, which is 240 watts @ .6 Ohms resistance using Ohms law. You are safe using even the max output of the Subox Mini.

Thank you for the reply. I must have used my calculator incorrectly, I kept getting 3.2 watts max for safe operation

I would run that coil at 20-25 watts which will put you between 3.5 and 4 volts. Somewhere in there will be the sweet spot. Start around 18 watts and work your way up till you achieve the vape you like.

.6 ohm you are fine. I'm curious about the clapton running on the Kanger Subox. Post back and let us know how it does.

I am going to be really surprised if claptons do well on the Kanger. That's why I wanted to hear how it did.

32 Outer kanthol and 24 inner nichrome. 24W and this thing rips. I got it wideopen and it tastes great, vapor production is good. Im using 60%VG and getting decent clouds. Not chasing anything, just feeling good.
