Salts Ratio Question

Been doing a ton of reading and cant get a clear answer on the math. If im at 6mg on 80w and happy, would i use the same math for nicsalts? Meaning do i just put my 6mg in the calculator or do i need to go higher? I bought NN Hit sals 100mg. I will be using the salts in the smok nvod.

Also if anyone has msds for this that would help.

Nic salts are smoother than regular nic. So you will have to go higher than 6mg to get the same throat hit. But I'm pretty sure you just mix the same. I'd make a 10ml tester of 6mg with the salts and see if that does it for you. I know others here mix with salts so hopefully they'll jump in too.

Why? Are you not satisfied at 6mg 80w? 50mg at 80w is a different animal.

I'd say that would be unbearable. When you vape 50mg in a juul it's like 6 watts or so. Your 6mg is .6%,,,, 6%would be 60mg

the 6mg would be going in the SMOK novo. Just want to get it the same "5%" like juul has and cant figure out how to get it there.

Personally I would just mix 5ml of 50mg unflavored before doing anything to see if you can tolerate the mg. Bumping any premade juice from 6mg to 50mg will dilute the flavor so much you may as well just make a different juice and keep the 6mg for the device your using it in already.

As Letitia stated above mix whatever strength you desire. Salts and freebase mix the same. If you want 50mg then put that in your diy calculator. Salts absorb faster and are less harsh on your throat.

Slipped this in while I was typing. So I don't understand the question. You simply enter the mg you want to end up at same as you would for freebase into the calculator.

Yea a 5ml of 50mg is a good idea. I got some one time and was like a donkey kick in the throat. In my pods now I use a 12 freebase nic. But 3mg everything else

For a pod I'd go higher in nicotine since you get a smaller puff. 44mg higher I'm not sure. Try 20 or 25mg and if you need more throat hit go up. It's trial and error. Great part if diy

ok i think i got this now.

What i was getting confused is everyone told me to use like i would freebase. Thats not true when using a pod device and if i want it similar to a juul i gotta go to 50mg which is 5% by volume

Think of nic like watts, start low and bump up until you hit the sweet spot. 50mg/ml is not 50%. Please quit posting 50%. Lot of newbs cruise these threads and will not know that. Post mg or mg/ml so there are no misunderstandings.

You really should stop thinking of the novo like a juul.
Juul- 6.5 to 9w, 200 mah battery
Novo- 10-15w, 450 mah battery

So if you want the high nicotine then mix it up. But the fact that the novo is almost twice what a juul is, what we're saying is 50mg juice will probably be too much. Even in the novo. Salts hit you faster. Which will make you sick when blowing plumes with the novo

I vape 14mg sub ohm at 35w. N some vapers look at me like im nuts. 50mg would be no fun at all imo.

I'd make sure the second 0mg/ml batch was max VG in order to offset all of the PG in the nic and flavorings.

It’s in PG and that was my mistake. Didn’t count for it properly knowing I need to bump up the flavors also. A VG one is already ordered so I can make this properly. I think I’m going to go for a 60/40 for the novo pods.

Why would you do no VG? I've made recipes where there were so many flavors I didn't have to add PG because the flavorings are pg based. Just so I'm clear. You have 50mg nicotine and all pg juice. I'm confused and officially resign from this thread

Flavor combo should be good, just not those percentages. Pull 10 ml off and add 10ml of base to it, let it rest 24 hours and taste it is my advice.

Misread the amount mixed but yes cut the flavor by half for the next 10ml. Hit nic will usually be peppery since they oxidize the hit nic a bit.

I'm no exert at high mg salt liquids. I admit that I haven't made a lot of them. But it's my opinion that they come out a lot better with a limited amount of stronger flavors. I've been using one strong fruit flavor and one cream flavor. Bullcity sells a line of flavors called just SC (for super concentrated). SC Mango and Pineapple would probably come through more in flavor (w/Novo) than Capella dialed up in percentages. There's stronger peach flavors too like Hangsen or FA White Peach.
