Sea of Thieves will launch in February of next year, Xbox Australia has confirmed.
While rumblings of a February 2017 release window surfaced last month at E3, the company's following post on Twitter confirms it:

Sea of Thieves will release for both Xbox One and Windows 10 and take advantage of Microsoft's recently announced Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, which grants users who digitally purchase the game the ability to play across both platforms.
