Searching for the Perfect Atomizer

Okay, so I was waxing philosophical about atomizers today. Each type has different drawbacks, but is there one type or one of a type that's perfect? This is the way I see it:

RDA: great flavor, easy to build, easy to wick, but prone to leaking.
RTA: good flavor, easy to build, not so easy to wick, not so prone to leaking.
RDTA: great flavor, easy to build, easy to wick, prone to leaking.
Genny: great flavor, difficult to build, difficult to wick, prone to leaking

I won't even bother with clearos because of the constant need to purchase coils.

Anyone have a particular atty that they're totally satisfied with? I'm still on the hunt with 15 drippers, 4 RTAS, and a couple of clearos.

am a fan of the rdta and Genny's .. no leaks at all so far ( i do try to keep em vertical tho) ... great flavor .. but then you list RTA's as not so prone to leaking .. whereas I can not wick them at all .. they always drop juice.

For rta/rdta, if you are lung hitter I would say Moonshot. Flavor is as good as rda. Lots of people have a problem with building them but to me so far, bullet proof. Easy to build and wick if you do it with a hex key. Zero leaks even after several days on its side lost in my truck. Like em so much that I have four 22s and two 24s. Comparable to Limitless but with no leaks at all under any condition so far.

really ? i have the 22 built it like 4 times and each time it floods and leaks like a strainer. would you say too much cotton or too little with that guy? Like do you wick it and pack it or leave it 'just' enuff?

All coils are 3mm and I wick em relatively tight. You should be able to pull the cotton back and fourth but with resistance. fold them down same way they're going to be sitting once I am done and cut them below the deck so there is some extra. Put the ring/chamber on untill ends of the wicks are pinched in between deck and a ring. Tack those pinched tails inside until deck sleeps into the ring. You done. Make sure that you didn't off set the ring so your wicking holes are not open. Those four holes have to be plugged by the tails of your wick.

I guess I've been lucky as far as RTA's not leaking on me. I use a Griffin now and it doesn't leak per se, but it does wind up with a bit of juice behind the airflow control ring which can be a little annoying.
Only other RTAS I've had have been Kayfun Lites and they only leak on me when going from low to high humidity environments.

I'm a dripper, and I can't see myself going back to tanks. I don't mind carrying the bottle with me an now that I've been dripping for several months leaks just don't happen anymore. I like the simplicity of drippers

Also: ease of cleaning, taking apart and refilling, size, weight, aesthetics, flooding, number of parts (that can be lost or damaged), ability to troubleshoot any problems quickly and easily, amount of heat and vapor

hence why I use drippers only

only downsides of dripping I find is the leakiness due to the condensation build up when taking the cap on and off and having the dripper filled before putting in a pocket with bottom airflow RDAs.

but to be able to take apart, wash, recoil and rewick in 5 minutes once a week is definitely worth the minor inconvenience

I have an Aromamizer Supreme (RDTA) and a Billow V3 Plus (RTA) and both work great with no leaking. I have never had any problem with either of them. Wicking is a piece of cake on them. As a matter of fact I did not even watch any videos on the Aromamizer. I just put my wicks through my coils, cut them off a little over the side of the atty, then folded them under the coils over the juice holes in the bottom. Never a leak and I think I may have had 1 burnt hit in the 2 months I have been using it daily. Pretty solid RDTA in my honest opinion. Preferences are weird though. I have seen so many different people with so many different devices they love that I did not like. Hard to say what will work best for you. I hope you find your unicorn tank, because RDA's are just a pain in the ass when you are out and about (at least to me they are). I like RDA's for messing around with new coils and I own over a dozen different ones, but they normally collect dust since I got these 2 tanks.

Sincerely,
Mr. Chainvapor

was looking for one on the 4th but good deals seem'd sold out.. did check out the design on that one and looks like it could work for me, like the setup, juice control, etc have not heard one complaint from anyone so far so will be grabbing one down the road abit.

yeah that looks like a solid genny for sure .. and pretty leak proof.. very tight looking draw tho.. FT = $13 seems a no brainer for MTL

My favorite dual coil RTA is the Boreas. My favorite Genny Style RDTA is the Avocado 24. My favorite single coil RTA is the Merlin. That being said I intend to buy the Mage, Aromamizer Supreme and Cthulhu III RTA in the very near future. I like the Avocado better than the Limitless because of the build quality. The Limitless feels kind of cheap like a piece of tin. Still a good vape but not as solid as the Avocado. I may give the Limitless Plus a look as well.

I like RTAs. I hate buying coils only to use em up and throw them away, but there are some great tanks out there.. I don't have the patience for a dripper, even though everyone says they're low maintenance. I use them to sample juice from time to time, but that's about all I can tolerate.

I MTL, my 2 faves, so far are the Goblin Mini v1 and the Lemo Drop. I have a Kayfun Mini 3 on the way, a Kayfun 3.1 that I haven't built yet. Merlin gives incredible flavor, but the QC on those is hit and miss, Goblin Mini v2 is as good as the v1 on flavor, but wicking on that one is a bit more finicky, but doable, and has great flavor, too.

I saw a review for the sxk .. like $24 @FT very very very close.. kind of amazing how 1:1 it is, of course quality of metals /materials etc.. but the price is right..;p
