Serious Problems

So i recently bought the Aspire Triton and was told i could use atlantis coils, (Triton .3 coils cant go above 40w i believe) BUT, after i primed my coils, i let it sit for about 10 minutes, and it was INSTANTLY cooked. I dont know whats wrong. It worked the first couple times but now it wont. Any ideas?

Just curious what the resistance of the Atlantis coil you tried? If it's like my .5 ohm coil (stock) I never vape it above 35-40w max...70w? .. I can see that coil frying for sure...lol..I would try a new coil (after priming it) and start off about 30w and go up from there slowly till you find your sweet spot, good luck!

The 1.5 atlantis coil is for 70 to 80w. The .5 is for 20 to 30 that's what aspire states for the atlantis coils

I'm one of those seasoned veterans who judges how my vape hits by trial and error... Reading info online is OK but the real deal comes down to how it vapes...its a simple matter to start fairly low and bump up to your desired sweet spot...after all, your the one vaping it, right?
BTW, usually I've found the higher the resistance the lower the power needed, and vice versa...I run my .2 ohm coil in my Arctic around 60-70w...a .21 ohm build in my Dark Horse RDA around 75-80w...
My sister runs her 1.5 ohm coil in her STM between 25-30w....
Oh well, do what you think is best..and good luck!

You can also use the Heracles coils which seem to last longer.
