Sick off Subtanks

I would like some guidance before upgrading to RDA vaping. For the last few months ive been going through my kanger occ coils stupidly fast. Ill get 3 days out of them, at most. I have purchased a Tobeco Velocity clone and would like some advice on what wire and cotton i should be using and what ohms should i be aiming for. I would like to make a build were i can drip 10 drops and would last me 20+ draws before i have to refill again, ideally similar\ better taste to a subtank occ coil vaping at 25 watts+ Is this even possible? I am clueless when it comes to rda's. Watching people drip every 3 or 4 puffs have scared me away.
Any help will be much appreciated thanks !!!

If your thinking of switching to RDA but the hassle of dripping every 4-5 hits expecially if on the go. look into a RTA system a good one is the big dripper by sub ohm innovations it's a RDA with a tank on top when you need to drip just push down on the drip tip and the tank feeds the juice onto the coils. On YouTube riptrippers does a review on it. Look into the V2 though if your looking into the versatility of using duel or single coils with it. When using rda's pretty much most average builds go between 3 and 10 rips before needing to drip

There's nothing like a dripper for flavor. You get over the dripping hassle quickly because of how delicious it is compared to subtanks. I own Kanger subtanks, a Zephryus RTA, a TFV4 and an Aromomizer RDTA and still use my Velocity all day everyday. With dual Claptons at 70-80w it blows away the tanks for flavor, the zephryus is second best, but my wife has commandeered it for her use. I drip about 10 drops from a unicorn bottle every 5 hits or so.

I just received a HellBoy clone in a trade here on VU and it is awesome. The deeper juice well makes it easier to get a good amount of draws before having to refill.

Shit I get 3-4 hits per drip. Sometimes just 2.

Are you using the horizontal or vertical coils in your Kanger ? I don't get any life at all out of the horizontal 0.5 ohm coils but the Kangertech vertical OCC 0.5 coils last a lot longer. I bought a couple of Atom Vapes Clapton coils for the Kangertech Mini today to try them out. I have only a few hours on them but they give great flavor and vapor.

How often you need to drip depends on several factors.
How big are the juice wells, how *much* you drip, what wattage your running at, how big the hits are, and maybe a few other things.

If the RDA has no juice wells, you might have to drip every hit.
Conversely, you could get an RDA that has big enough wells to hold 2ml of liquid and vape on it for 15 mins without needing to drip.

Honestly, I always thought the same as you are before I started dripping. Such a hassle to have to carry around a bottle of liquid and have to drip every few hits or so. That went out the window the min I tried it for the first time and I haven't looked back since.

At 25 watts,a .5-.8 ohm dual coil might meet your desire if you don't want to do any of the other suggestions above . I use a needle tip and drop right behind the coil, about 5-6 drops per side and once the wick is totally saturated I get between 15-20 4+ second draws before needing to refill . It's not very efficient if you like to switch flavors a lot but rda clones cost less than a decent tank. I've got a Mad Hatter, genuine, Lush, genuine, in hand and 2 Velocity clones ($8 each) in the mail. I'm just gonna quench my desire to switch flavors often and keep the extra flavor and cloud of my rdas. For my all day vape I've got a Gremlin mini clone ($9) in the mail to try out this rta thing.

Drippers are as difficult as you want to make them, I have plenty of rda's that last me way more than 2-5 rips, everybody is different in what they consider a pain in the ass....all you can do is get one and try it. If you don't like it go back to your tank.

when I first started vaping I'd look at drippers an just wonder how people put up with the hassle, but over time and after meeting alot of drippers I see the appeal...though it's not my thing....it doesn't have to be a big hassle with the right atty. with attys like the origen or veritas.

I use RDAs almost exclusively, but grab my Subox kit 9 times out of 10 when I have to run out of the house simply because it never leaks in my pockets.

Yes if done correctly you can get 25 hits or so. but if you do too much you can get cotton tasting hits I've done plenty Scottish wicks and really to me the only downfall would be it's a single flavor wick if you try to mix up juices your more than likely to always taste the first juice normally when it gets toward the drier side

Another option would be a RDTA, like the Big Dripper V2, and such.

I use both and with my Ego1 tanks I open the bottom air up wide and use an air adjustable drip tip, open almost wide open, and get clouds that rival my drippers but no where near the intense flavors. It's great when driving long distances with no designated rda filler on the passenger side.

My Bullet and my Veritas both give me 10+ hits per fill. with a thick scottish style wick, my Bullet gives closer to 20, but the flavor is muted to me wicking that method. I carry a Heracles in my kit for when I am driving, but the flavors out of my subohms are just not up to my expectations any longer.
