Hey guys gonna order the sigelei 150 and need new batteries. Everything I'm reading watching etc all say to get good batteries for anything.

What exactly makes a good battery and is there one in particular to look at for this mod? Been using efest batteries I've been grabbing from the local shops in town.

Not wanting to do anything crazy with the box mod ... yet xD just gonna slap a kangertech mini on it.

Let me know. Thanks :)

Efest batteries while popular in B&Ms are kinda sketchy as they don't live up to the spec's printed on them.

I suggest getting the Samsung 25R batteries which are rated at 2500 mAh and 20 amps continuous.

I would suggest getting a total of four for use in two dedicated or "Married" pairs.

A couple of the things that makes a good battery is the battery not being a rewrap and not having inflated specs. You'd also want 'em to be IMRs. Sony vtc4s, sony vtc5s, or samung 25Rs are all good ones. Buy from a reputable place because there's lots of fake batteries out there. RTDVapor.com, LiionWholesale.com and imrbatteries.com are 3 trusted sources.

If one battery is worn a little more than the other (or simply not up to the same spec as the other) you can end up with a vampire situation, where one battery is leeching off the other battery to keep the voltage discharge up, which creates all kinds of problems. If the batteries are "married" (used together in same device and charged at the same rate/time) there's less chance of this occurring. Another reason to go with name brand, they'll be more consistent when making the batteries.

As for ecigcity - never head of 'em. Sorry.

You probably know, but just in case - never carry battery without it being protected from dead shorts (dont put in pocket with keys, etc). Always wrap in plastic, put in plastic bag, or use a plastic case. Some vendors include one with order (which holds two batteries), some don't. liionwholesale includes 1 with order of 2 or more batteries. I use the plastic cases even at the house, to prevent any accidents.

Welcome. The newer, IMRs are a lot safer than the old, li-ion ones, but nonetheless. . .

old Li-ion version

newer IMR battery (jump to 6 min mark)

I get my batteries from http://www.illumn.com. $5 for the samsungs. They've been around for a while, originally selling batteries to the flashlight community and are a respectable site.
