Hi people, my sigelei 30 is a great device, and I do have a nitecore charger luckily, but it will no longer charge via usb unless I apply pressure from the rear.
I contacted the shop, who said I could send it back but then I will have no vaporiser. I asked if it is OK to wait 2 weeks as not tommorow but the saturday after I get payed and am ordering the sig 50, and then will send it back to them.
The device hasn't been dropped, problem is I planned to give it to my fiancee in around 3 weeks as part of her birthday gift along with new stuff. I can't now if the charging circuit is dodgy.
Is there any way I can bring the contacts inside forwards to make a better connection? As they must of moved towards the rear of the device, as when I apply forward pressure to move the USB back in the port, it connect and charges. If I can do this myself I would much rather than send it off, paying shipping charges and also missing out on the oppurtunity of giving my fiancee this and some other vaping gear as her own set up along with a watch for her birthday.
So, anyone know if I can fix this myself? I am quite good with tech such as computers and things like that.
It looks like Allen key screws, so I could easily open it (obviously with battery removed), just wanted some advice really.
