"Meinertzhagen's Haversack" began with an amusingly soul-crushing tour of a Raiders-esque server basement where Pied Piper's boxes would go. It was a simple opening gag, but the end result of Richard, Gilfoyle and Dinesh getting lost in the maze of servers was a funny visual and a great to kick off tonight's storyline.
Most notably, Jack Barker showed his true colors this week, as he "dropped the act," so to speak, with Richard. And while he did turn out to be just as brash and intimidating as Richard's past superiors, Jack did at least shoot straight with him throughout, even as Richard was trying to go behind his back with Laurie. He even had what I thought was one of the best, most pointed lines of the episode: "If you're going to shoot the king, you better be goddamn sure you kill him."
