This season of Silicon Valley has definitely been a roller coaster of highs and lows for Pied Piper -- and with three episodes left, that's not likely to change. But this week's "To Build a Better Beta" was a very notable high, as the guys launched the app's beta. But even on their climb to success, this episode was packed with surprises and funny moments.
The beta itself, for instance, brought about some great subplots. Monica confessing to Richard that she didn't like the app offered a surprisingly candid moment between the two characters, with Monica inciting Peter Gregory's motto of "I don't invest in products, I invest in people -- and I invested in you." Obviously, Silicon Valley doesn't do "heartwarming" all that often, but this was definitely one of those moments.
