As a member of VU for many months now, I seldom (never) post new threads, but I did a rather in depth first look at the new Silverplay V2 today and I figured my notes may be helpful to someone weighing their RTA options in a market flooded with big airflow, big juice capacity tanks that make big claims. I'll include a TL/DR at the end for the folks as lazy as me...
I have formatted these notes in a slightly unusual way, almost as a comparison with the tanks I have had a bit more time to play with. The only reason I have had a chance to play with this tank is because my brother @Sully ordered it before going away on business for the week, and had it delivered to my house. He encouraged me to review it before he returns (tomorrow) so that he could have an idea of what he bought, and for my own enjoyment. I personally have experience with and own all of the following tanks- Nautilus Mini, Atlantis V1, Billow V1 (black and silver), Arctic, Goblin, Goliath V1, VTC Pro, Zephyrus (latest release, RTA only so far), and the Billow V2. I've been using the Billow V2 primarily for the past few weeks, with some Zephyrus, VTC Pro, and Billow V1 use on the side. :Let's just say- Between my brother and I we have ALL of the subohm RTA's. So I have a bit of experience. The guys at the local B+M (Preferred Vapor) call us the Tank Boys. We were subohming with tanks before most f them had seen such a thing, and suffered through the growing pains with tanks before they matured to what we know today. Anyway...
Here's the Silveryplay V2 notes:
Unboxing-
-1-1,5mm shorter than Billow V1
-Exactly the same height as Billow V2
-Exterior and deck machining were superb on SVPV2
-Chimney, chamber and threads less-so but still machined very nicely
-Billow V2 machining a bit more polished and nicer
-Glass is very thin- but there's two in the box, along with a stainless tank, which is even thinner and may hold more juice (slightly)
-Two top caps are VERY thick and heavy. Solid stainless, and definitely the heaviest part in the assembly
-AFC ring was looser than I'd expect, and had a gap near the o-ring until seated on a mod.
-Drip tip is deeply rifled and tiny. Thnk Zephyrus style, Derringer size.
- Chamber is removable from chimney and from tank base, but has flat sides, so it locks into the tank base and they must be screwed on together/assembled. This is exteremely reminiscent of the Goliath
-There is no extra internal chamber barrel to hold cotton and builds intact when the tank section is removed like the Zephyrus RBA, or more importantly the Billow V2, where this was done very intentionally.
-The deck on the SVPV2 is not removable like the Billow V2, and is easily larger than the BV2, Zephyrus, Goliath, or Goblin. But it's smaller than the Billow V1.
-The coils can be build as high at the tops of the screw heads, and not interfere with the chimney being screwed on.
. All threading assembles and disassembles very smoothly.
-No major machine oil visible, no odor.
Cleaning/Building:
-Washed all parts included with a tooth brush and dish soap twice thoroughly using HOT water. Soaked them in hot water and rinsed thoroughly. Did not boil.
-The round top cap did not have the o-rings installed, but the o-rings are included.
-BUILD- Dual parallel 26 gauge on a 2.5mm coiler, 8/16 wraps @ 0.2 ohms on the Sigelei 100+. This build has proven itself to be almost exactly 0.28 ohms over and over again for me. I haven't checked steam engine. I vaped it from 30-70 watts, 65 was the threshold of dry hit territory with this build. 50-55 was ideal.
The above build fit more easily than any of my tanks, less the Billow V1. It's my brother and I's go-to with very little editing.
-Juice/Cotton wells are enormous. A thick wick can be tucked all the way to the bottom with very little coaxing.
-At first, I wicked it all the way down the wells to the bottom of the chamber/deck. This resulted in a dry/flavorless vape which made me a bit displeased with the tank at first. I suffered along without a dry hit and no hissing this way for about ¾ tank.
-When I took the tank off to refill I trimmed them above half way down the channels. This helped tremendously with flavor and wicking.
- I used 80/20 VG/PG juice- the same flavor and batch as I have the Billow V2. The flavor seemed muted compared to the BV2 by about 5-10%
-The airflow on the SVPV2 is about 20% greater than the BV2 in my estimation.
-The SVPV2 and BV2 produce a comparable amount of vapor at 50-55 watts, but the SVPV2 is a bit cooler. The vapor from the BV2 is definitely thicker, tastier and more filling and satisfying, however.
-Voltage and ohm reading were 100% stable throughout my testing. The BV2 has been known to jump around a bit because of it's removable deck causing the occasional unexpected dry hit. This has happened with the BV2 far less for me than my brother.
-The 510 is very adjustable and the position of the screw did not affect the above point whatsoever on the SVPV2.
-The bottom tank fill method is fairly painless, but smaller slots than the BV2 make the latter easier and faster to fill and I predict thicker (95% VG) juices will have a challenge slipping through the slots for filling and wicking on the SVPV2.

TL/DR
My Rating-
Silverplay V2- 8/10
Pro's: very good quality device. Lots of goodies included, but not everyone will care. A thoroughly thought out design, everything appears to be where it ought to be. Very good looking tank and feels heavy. You're getting more metal than it's $30-$40 counterparts. The addition of bottom fill was overdue, but works great. Building and wicking this tank is one of the easiest I've tried to-date.
Con's: Too pricey at $60. Juice slots on the bottom of the tank are slim, making high VG users want to cringe. Vape was satisfying but a bit airy- this could be my build- but in all my other tanks this is the best build! The chamber has to be unscrewed and slid off of your cotton and build to fill from the bottom of the tank ( They have also included a bottom fill screw so people will not complain about this!) In my opinion, none of these cons are worth stopping someone from buying this tank.... just areas of improvement for the V3, perhaps.
Billow V2- 8.5/10
Pro's- easy filling. The little chamber inner wall to protect your build from on and off's of the tank during filling. The machining quality. The drip tip. The 23mm look. The flavor, and density of vapor production at reasonable wattage, nothing I have comes close.
Con's- Tighter draw, removable deck and not-really-adjustable 510 which can cause connection problems for some.
I may be experienced with RTA's, but I am in no way the end-all authority. I welcome others' suggestions for builds and notes on the tank. I most anxiously await @Sully adding his comments and opinions as I learned most of what I know from him. I am happy to answer what questions I can from my limited experience with the Silverplay, and of course any of the other tanks I have listed.
