Generally 100 vg but I'm debating doing some fifty fifty.
Okay, I'll tell you I do both of those (I use max VG, partner uses 50/50, I do all the mixing).
I'll assume you buy 100mg VG nic.
To make max VG at 25mg nic:
25% of your 100mg nic base, 75% of VG (with water if needed..keep reading).
You can think of that as 1 'part' base, 3 'parts' VG.
The VG I buy is too thick for the cheap tanks I vape with, so I have to add water to thin it out.
I end up with 25% 100mg nic base, 20% water, 65% VG. Distilled water is ideal; I use tap water because mine is really pure.
To make 50/50 PG/VG at 25mg nic:
25% of your 100mg nic base, 50% PG, 25% VG
You can think of that as 1 'part' base, 2 'parts' PG, 1 'part' VG
When I mix 50/50 PG/VG I don't need to add any water; it's just right for my partner's vaping hardware (also tanks).
The 'parts' I keep referring to can be any measure you like. If one 'part' is 10ml, you'll make 40ml of ready-to-flavor liquid, for example.
Does that make sense?
