I have 6 of them and they are definitely reliable.
Very solid performing mods.
Awesome, that's what I been hearing! we use to have a rx2/3 and we both liked it but it had that battery issue, so I just bought the rainbow for GF and copper color for me, her RX200s took a shit on her, and I have predator and I'm not liking it any more
I have two Predators.
One with the 510 that fell out, one still in the box.
My theory is the longer the second one remains in the box, the longer the 510 will stay in it.
Switching to the Battlestar is definitely a good choice for you both.

Paint seems to be pretty well done.
They don't scratch very easy and hold up well.
I have one I only use in the garage and it has been placed on the concrete floor many times with no marks indicating such.
However I d take extreme great care of all my gear so I can't speak for anyone that may be hard on them and possibly toss them around like a wire bound notebook.
