Smok Alien, pro colour or G priv?

Hey guys and girls, new to vaping here. Im currently puffing on a 50W 1.8 ohm Aspire Pegasus mini but Im looking to go a bit bigger and sub ohm for better flavours and stronger hits, I love the Smok Alien with the big baby tank but wasnt sure if its outdated? And are there better units out there?

I like the SMOK G150. I am new to vaping but this is my second mod already.

I had a 40 watt mod before but the battery life wasn't great.

The G150 uses built-in batteries (likely two 2200mAh 18650's) and is curved so it fits nice in your palm.

It comes with a Big Baby Beast, but I like the Baby Beast better. Both use the same coils, and there are a lot of coil choices. The most recent T6 coils I got were SS316 so they will even work with TC.

I have 2 Aliens with The Big Baby, and still use them everyday in my rotation. Great step-up mod for the price. Check vapecrawler for deals and coupon codes if buying online. I would suggest if you can hold out, best time to buy vape gear is black Friday weekend (Nov 23-26) I'm sure VU will have a deals thread starting soon for that weekend. Biggest sale of the year. Thanks for the reply mate, yeah Im still learning alot about mods and coils, from what I can gather most sub ohm coils are in their sweet spot around 50 to 70 watts so I dont yet understand the benefit of 150 W + mods other than maybe a better battery life? I could be way off here.

In the end I watched a heap on YouTube vids and reviews and went for the Smok Pro Colour 225W with the TFV8 Big baby tank. Reason being most vids confirmed it was just an updated Alien with a better res screen a few flashing lights and a more aesthetically pleasing setup. Thanks for all your replies, ill post back in here when it arrives and I've tried it out!

The most recent T6 coils I got were SS316 so they will even work with TC.

Since when do they make coils with SS316? I didn't know that was an option.

I didn't either. It's possible that the box is trying to say the coil frame is SS?

I think they are referring to the actual coil housing. Usually the wires have abbreviations SS, SS316, SS316L, ect. I dont know for sure though.

Thank you mate! I went with the pro colour just for the fact it a newer model and similar price, ill let you know how i go mate!

Thanks mate, what coils do you use and at which wattage?

T8 coil at 65 watts and I use the RBA base at about 75-85w depending on juice. Grats on your Procolor.

I do not own either one YET but both are on my Want list! Have two Alien 220 here that have never let me down so far over a year.
