Has anyone bought one? I see a number of places you can get them under 5$, I work in construction and I'm thinking this would be a good buy and according to USPS my alien will be here Monday. my concern is will it be a pain to get in and out of my pocket I know the alien is small I currently have IPv3 and it fits in my back pocket no case on it and it's much bigger. I'm worried the silicone case is gonna cause me trouble and actually make me drop it more trying to force it in my back jean pocket

just one of many sites I found it on http://www.dhgate.com/product/colorful-smok-alien-220w-silicone-case-skin/391775492.html I probaly wont order from here

I have never used a silicon case for any mod, only phones.
I hated every one I tried for this very reason.
My wife uses one so I checked it, yup, too grippy for pocket use.
There may be one out there that has a more smooth finish but I've not seen any.

Have on for my SS Pico... is OK but... can't put in jeans pocket without cover staying in pocket. Seems to loosen up after heavy handling. Otherwise does what I intended. SS is kinda slippery.

hmm damn yeah I never used one other then otterbox for my phone and that wasn't too bad in my pocket but yeah I can imagine that the cases I found for smok are going to have a really sticky texture, I guess the smok being much smaller then IPv3 it will fit in my pocket a lot better though

I would think with + & - adjustment buttons located on the long side face, I would have reservations placing it in a back pocket. I've stopped using silicone cases for the very reasons others have listed, and have gone to using wraps to protect finishes.
I would try a small belt clipped cell phone case/holster for the Alien for jobsite use.

They are lockable to avoid accidental activation.

I was meaning more along the lines of their protrusion. Getting slipped into and out of a pocket will cause premature wear and tear, besides accidental setting changes.

I have silicone cases on all of my mods. The one I got for my Alien came from 3FVape. The case cost me $1.69 and the shipping was $1.70, lol.
It did take about 8 days to get here from China, but at the time I ordered it there were none available within the U.S.
I have no trouble slipping mine in and out of my pocket with it on, but I reach in my pocket and grab body of mod to pull it out, not the tank.
They actually get smoother with use, where they don't stick in your pocket or attract tons of pocket lint, while still making your mod easy to grip without being slick.
I have several mods that would be difficult to hold without the silicone case them. At least the way I hold them to vape.

Hmm good to know , do you think if I rubbed a chemical on the case it would change texture much maybe rubbing alcohol? or just rub it with no chemical. Just a rag vigorously.

Rubbing alcohol won't do anything. My OCD and I clean my mods and cases religiously with rubbing alcohol, and I've seen no change. The texture primarily changes from being handled, so I would say the friction of a rag or your hands would probably have the most effect.
