Thank Christ! 320W just isn't cutting it for most of us any more.;)

400w is just stupid IMO, but a quad 18650 mod would give me great battery life at 120w. It looks like a huge heavy beast though.

I am really impressed with the new gear coming out of Smok these days. All of their 200w+ mods released as of late seem to be solid devices and the TFV8 tanks are amazing compared to the TFV4 IMO. Seems like they are actually listening to customers... :)

My guess is it'll seem smaller than the Ijoy Maxo due to the more rounded shape.
I'm liking my Maxos due to the four 18650s.
No interest in the high power capability, simply the extended battery life.
Hoping the Power Engine will be the same.

I just wished they centered the pin more on the maxo so it'll handle 30mm tanks without overhang. If the power engine can handle that i might get one

It barely hangs over, I use it for the Modfather. I have the lux, but the screen get's fogged with Juice, so I don't use it with RTA's.

But why in God's name would anyone need 400 watts !?!

they wouldn't. the watt war is such BS lol
I got the lux for 30mm tanks. love how it sits flush without hanging over, i wouldn't use a 30mm on the maxo because of that. ID but it kinda annoys me

Thought I wouldn't either till I did... I like the Maxo a whole bunch, truth is I like them both a whole bunch, just don't want to kill the Lux with juice... I'd be sad.

Cuz your friend's mod is ONLY 320 watts?

I don't get it, but what the hell do I know? I tried vaping 0.07ohms at 200+W recently and I thought my head was going to explode.

200 or even 220 TRUE watts (not pulsing like my Snow Wolf over 150w) I get being a requirement as some people may actually use that much power.

320 or 400? Unless one wants a 3 or 4 battery mod for battery life, it's just a who has a bigger schlong contest IMO.

Whatever keeps you off the smokes I guess! :)

Who actually vapes anywhere near this? I picture Puff the Magic Dragon! I mean you can easily build a 5,000 watt machine but is that really enjoyable to anyone? It is like if one shot is good 500 must be better. I bet $100 anyone that takes a good lung hit off 400 watts hacks like a Motherfucker! Plus this may be like those China Flashlights. No where near what they say. I am confident in my Manhood, Thank you

I believe the screen at the top of Lux is WELL sealed. I left an atty on it overnight, the entire tank leaked because of a mistake I made with an o-ring, not a speck of juice was inside the screen in the morning after cleaning the mess up.

For that reason, fine. The Triade is probably a better mod though. If you are not going to use TC though waste of money IMO.

400watts? What's It for powering a 8 tube hooka.

Oh well I still can't figure out why anyone wants more than 50 watts.
But then, I never really was down with the cool kids.

Sometimes we need it lol. It's not about clouds or anything just getting the best flavor possible and some builds require more then that

Some builds do require more watts...

No you don't need high watts for GOOD or even great flavor.... you need watts for a maximum amounts of flavor.... more does not define better. Heck you don't need as many watts as most use To make big clouds. Big coils and big watts just make things easier.

I hate the taste of E juice.... but I love a
Good tasting vapor.... more flavor for me means more juice taste. FWIW. I VAPE unflavored juice 50 to 75% of the time. To clean my pallette.

really depends on the person, some people feel they get great flavor from a 1.5ohm coil at 10 watts, for me I can't taste anything really at that. I can get decent flavor at 50 watts with some builds, but it really depends. sometimes i need a lot of watts or my coils will take forever to ramp up. I prefer taking short 2 second inhales and getting a ton of vapor. But i don't mind going a little weaker and taking longer pulls. I like having variety but i will say sometimes 100+ is needed. like the TFV8 tank, it's a crappy vape under 100 watts. too much air for not enough vapor

That's why it's been so easy for many to switch over from tobacco. Even though most smokers smoked one brand or thing from day one.. the choices of how or what to smoke is endless.. Vaping is much the same.

Safety aside.... there is no wrong way to vape, if you like the vapor you are getting it the right way.

I checked the link and it sent me to Breazy, on the page the idiots at Breazy are recommending eFest for the batteries. Shows how utterly ignorant that Vendor is .........

All the makers and vendors suck lol. The Ijoy lux manual recommends 40amp batteries. Yet it comes with 30 amp batts labeled at 60 amps lol. Guess it's unusable since a 40 amp battery doesn't exist. Lol

Yep, these Vendors need to get a clue.

I accredit some of these exploding battery stories to mis-information by vendors and local vape stores. Shops in my area have no knowledge of how these devices work, they throw in some batteries and go about their day. As a lover of vaping, I did my research for my own safety.

You can blame the seller or manufacturer all you want. That doesn't make them responsible for your safety.

It is OUR responsibility to vape safely.

Nobidy needs a car with more than around 35hp. VW Bus. Yet It's hard to find one with less than 100 these days. Maybe we should ban cars.

While I understand a big part of vaping safely is OUR responsibility and I'm not blaming the seller or manufacturer for exploding batteries, I'm just saying that in some case they misinform the consumer, who may or may not have the knowledge to make safe decisions. Without the information to make the right choice, you can't blame someone for making a wrong choice.

Anyway this thread is not about safety, it's about cranking out 400w of vapijng POWER

But Should you need a license to drive a car? For that matter if the vape industry should accept responsibility for how thier customers use their mods.. shouldn't car an bicycle companies also be held liable for injuries derived from accidents involving thier products. If i crash my motorcycle at 150mph is it Hondas fault?

The answer is NO.. it's my fault.

Of course not but at least with a car you have to learn certain things before using it. That was all I was saying. This is more like the hover board lol

I agree we should learn before doing.... I just don't think it's the responsibility of others to make sure we do that learning.......

When I go to a Vape shop and buy a Mech mod and dripper. I DO NOT want the know-it- all vendor asking if I QUALIFIED to use such gear. They can either sell me what I want when I want it or I go buy from somebody else.. If I want their advise I'll will ASK for it.

Can we get a tazer attachment yet?
I got this on a whim and it actually works pretty damn well, so much so I ordered two more.

Sorry for you regulated Mod users won't work on them, only Mechs -

If it cant do 150-200w at .05 I dont see the reason for a more powerful mod at this point...I see alot of crazy wattage boxes out there, but they are missing a key point....the people needing those types of wattages need them in the .05 range because they need that amount of wattage just to heat the coil normally.

The sad thing is most of these 200+ watt boxes are limited to .1 Ohms and at .1 they dont even fire @ 200w and then release a box with another increase in wattage for .2-.3 Ohms again... where is the sense in that?

I don't get the wattage thing either. It's all dick waiving IMO. But the battery life is a good selling point for me

It depends. People should be told about what they are buying. In fact most online sites have a warning. A rich father that gives his 16 year old son a 700BHP car is an responsible father. All kinds of people can drive those cars but a 16 year old is more likely to abuse it not understanding the consequences. On the other hand to an uninformed 18 year old I hate to say an Ecig can be more dangerous than smoking. People really need to be warned at least somehow. These are not a joke they can kill you. For the rest of us obviously they are great.

I was a holy terror in a 1973 Ford E-150 van. Same through every car until I was 50. I like speed, it's why though everyone I knew built basket case Harleys over the winter, I didn't. I could walk away from a car wreck I thought.
So, if my extremely foolish 18 year old nephew has a regulated box mod, what's the chance that he's going to kill himself? He doesn't have the cash for extra batteries to carry loose in his pocket.
I'm in favor of letting people of legal age buy what they want, else we're getting close to Chuckles Schumer territory.
