Not sure why but I've never even tried to DIY any Mt Dew flavors. I sure love to drink the stuff, but all the vendor juice I tried forever ago sucked for the most part except for one place.

I've been trying to get Baja Blast right for a few weeks, best mix so far is:
10% Citris Punch TFA (is this renamed Mt Dew? It smells exactaly like it)
7% Blueberry Candy TFA
3% Key Lime TFA

I tried doing 2% Key Lime and 1% FA Lime Tahiti, but it was too much citrus bite.
I tried 1 drop of CA per 5ml, it mellowed out after a week but again too much bite. I might just try Key Lime @ 4% next batch.

I'm assuming lemon oil is a flavor? I've heard of people putting actual lemon juice or concentrate in juice, just wanted to make sure. I did find a flavor by LA though

I tried the pitchblack recipe and it tastes more like mt dew voltage/blueberry candy drink, followed it to a tee but might try it again without the blueberry.

Those recipes are ancient.. and like all things, evolve if they are "keep worthy"..
If you play around with these enough, you will find where you are happy with them!

Honestly, have not thought on these.. not till this thread was bumped.
If you read it correctly you can get the gist of where and how to play with them..
There are tons of good drink recipes out there.. I get side tracked by them all
