As soon as I tighten my battery in my mod fires and with another of my batterys it won't fire at all. Also there is virtually no throw in the button when I tighten it. From what I've read this should be almost impossible.

Clone or authentic? Buddy had a clone that would short out do to a burr from machining by the 510 threads inside the mod...this was a bad one though cause it would do it as soon as you tightened the battery, pretty scary really but I would imagine if yours is shorting with the button tight this might not be the case, possibly your attys 510 a little too close for a hybrid mod?
+1 on RDA's 510 too long. I have a clone that behaves similar. I have to untighten the RDA accordingly. The adjustable 510 pin in the RDA is already all the way in.
