SMPL vs BUSTER vs ???

Looking for a hybrid (RDA to Battery) mod. So far I been researching the SMPL & Buster as these are the only 2 copper clones I have found. Outside of pricing seems the smpl is better because it has the solid top/tube piece and thinking that would offer less voltage drop. There is only a few dollar difference in the clones so any help appreciated.

Something else you might wanna consider is the Shenxi Stingray X clone , all copper internally with a very low voltage drop , but since it comes with a regular 510 as well as a copper direct to battery connection you can use atty's on it that you would not be able to use safely on a SMPL .

This one works just like the SMPL. I have the SS version and have no problems with it. It actually fits well with my Kanger Subtank Plus.

This one works just like the SMPL. I have the SS version and have no problems with it. It actually fits well with my Kanger Subtank Plus.

I actually picked up a copper one with brass button. its a spring switch but thought I could find a magnet upgrade for it but it seems its not available. Oh well, for $10 new, it wasn't a bad deal.

No matter what the descriptions say, the smpl clones are not one piece. Careful inspection will reveal that the top is a separate press fit piece. Unless you knock it loose or look REALLY closely you cannot really tell, but i've never seen one that was solid. Just didn't want you to be mislead, clone manufacturers have a habit of copying and pasting authentic descriptions

I have clones of both in copper, and IMO the SMPL is superior in every way. It's smaller, has a shorter throw, automatically adjusts for battery rattle, won't short if you press the switch without an atomizer on it, and it has less parts and connections. Also, it isn't plastered with gaudy logos. And magnets aren't neccessarily an upgrade, either. You have to look at the design of the switch as a whole.

I actually chose the SMPL because of its sleek stealth simplicity. no matter what you put on top it looks like it was made for it. MANY I looked at such as the Apollo, the REVIEWig and a few other so-called competition models and they all have some kind of logo on it. we have a new OCD thing where everything has to match, I would have been limited to what I could use on top. Granted, I am limited to something that has a protruding pin or adjustable one, most drippers have an adjustable nowadays. The only reason why I went to upgrade to magnet is I know the spring is going to wear out. Some of you will just say well at less than $20 for another clone, it's not really worth upgrading to magnets. Well, that's $20 extra that you have every time that you would have to replace it.

About the month before I bought my SMPL there was quite a few retailers on eBay selling magnetic switches for it. Now I can't find any. I'll probably end up buying a stainless steel clone with a copper magnet switch and just swap the switches.

currently my flavor of the month is moved on to MOSFET series boxes in temperature control mods. As soon as I get one each of these my mod collection will be complete. I'm thinking about a IPV3 Li V2 & I cannot find a good series mod for anywhere. I do have a series flask mod that burned a hole in my finger when I dipped down below 0.50 ohms. Now it's sitting in back of my vape drawer.

There's a video on you tube if you shave the seat for the spring down in the switch, the replacement magnets upgrade for the nemesis will work fine

You will have a "hot button" problem switching to magnets on the smpl, guaranteed, unless you build above .3 or .4ohms.

What you want to do on the SMPL is get the loaded springs. It is copper plated with SS and it works well enough. Funny I'm trying to sell my SS SMPL clone with an El Cabron clone on top. It vapes great but I just have too many mech mods.

I will likely as not, be shortly acquiring a SMPL. not in the finish I want, but in brushed S-S. It will be seated with a Bellus. The Bellus should be here, within a day or so. Simpler juicing than my pair of Gladiators...It will only be shown-off, at my work.
