SMY GOD MOD 180 - HELP NEEDED!

After trying a friend of mine's device I decided to a SMY God Mod 180. I did a bit of searching and finally decided on ordering from CANVAPE. A few days later my package arrived and I was like a kid on Christmas morning. My friend who also has a God Mod 180 was with me when mine arrived, so we put some good 18650 batteries in, screwed in an Aspire Atlantis and it was ready to fire. On my my friend's God Mod I had been vaping comfortably around 35 watts, so I set mine to the same wattage and I almost died. Burnt taste, burnt throat, burnt everything. Figured maybe it was just a bad dry hit, so I primed the coil and even let it sit for a good 20-minutes before giving it another go... same result. For some reason on my God Mod vaping at 10 watts seems to be the equilvalent of vaping at 35-40 watts on any other box mod that I have used and I cannot figure out why this would be. Any ideas?

I have since bought my friend's off him and am vaping all day long at 35-40 watts. Hadn't used the "sketchy" one in a month so I figured I would fire it up today and see what happened. It is impossible to vape at more than 10 watts on this thing and even then, its just not the same vaping experience as the other one.

Both were ordered from the same site, a reputable site which I have ordered from a number of times.

Why would this problem be happening and how can I go about fixing it?

In the photo, the red model works perfectly... it's the black one that keeps trying to kill me.

Well trust me on this you're not the only one experiencing problems with the god mod, thing is a pos if there ever was one. I recently bought one for my brother and almost NOTHING can run on it that it will read. They seem to come quite often with bad sauntering on the inside and problems with battery connections. You must take into consideration that you're running 3 18650s so you're drawing power from all three batteries at once, versus just one or two, I wouldn't run the Atlantis on that device, regardless that it worked on your buddies, just for the simple fact that that particular unit (as a whole, not just yours) has so many various problems. Make sure (which it should be auto safe) to check the units settings to make sure you're not somehow on the super power mode it has. Other than that my guess is the unit could possibly be reading incorrectly, try just going from lower than even 10 and see how it hits, though I would suggest to contact the seller with any issues and explain.

Sadly, lots of vapers have had problems with these.

Mostly due to design flaws and less than perfect (shoddy) construction.

Send it back if you can for credit and get a Sigelei 100 or 150 watt dual 18650 mod.
