Looking at the SMY 170W TC and the 60W, any owners out there?

I have both of them and love them. In fact I like SMY products so much that I just bought their new SDNA 200W TC which will be in vape mail tomorrrow !! I had Smok/Koopor products and had terrible problems with their customer service and quality. I still have the Koopor Plus that my son is using and it seems to be pretty good. I have thought about selling my SMY 170 TC since I am getting the 200W, if you would be interested, you can PM me and I can shoot you some photos. I could make you a good deal on it.

I have the smy 60 tc and it has been good so far. I've had it about 2 months. It does have a 1 sec delay when you fire and start getting vape out of it. Battery life isn't great on higher wattage. But I have other devices for great battery life

As an update to the SDNA 200, I am very disappointed. I love the design of the box and everything connected to Escribe and worked perfectly except the battery. Cell #1 would not ever get a full charge thus cutting the battery life down by about 5 Wh. The whole reason I wanted this one over some of the other DNA 200 mods was that is had a longer battery life than the Hcigar which was the other one I was looking out due to the small size of the mods compared to the Reuleaux. I spoke with the dealer and ended up trading for the Hcigar because they did not have any more SMY's in stock. I am pretty sure I am getting the Reuleaux for Christmas so battery life is not as big an issue now.

I got in some new 2500mah 35a batteries and it seems to have almost doubled my battery life. Came home after 10 hrs of work with almost half my battery left

You should like it. I got mine for $48 and I thought that was pretty good. Came from a us company too, no waiting on china. I've seen it as cheap as $41 plus shipping after I bought mine

Hold on folks! They're up to more tricks yet.

http://www.simeiyue.com/smy-touch-box.html

Just came across this notice this morning. A little more investigation, but it sure looks like a neat new toy if it works.
seems like such a bad idea and such a great idea
many people are so accustomed to touch screens for everything form phone to tablets to laptops etc.
but they have a draw back.....they break and shatter. so while a non touch screen mod can survive a drop, the same drop could shatter the touch screen of this and render it useless.

And for someone like me who drops their mod on a hourly basis, this thing wouldn't survive a week in my hands

But I do admit its a nice idea

Probably about like the screen on their 60 watt and 170 watt mods. I've got the 60 watt, but it doesn't leave the house much. It is rather large, but still comfortable in my hands. Not really a work mod though since I don't want to destroy the screen. It is a plastic screen though, so it should be a little more shock resistant than a glass phone screen. Neither would the Touch be an out and about mod. When the pre-order hype disappears and they come about with a lower price, I'll get one just for the fun of it.

A little update on the SDNA 200. It appears that I jumped the gun on bad mouthing the SDNA 200. I was not aware that LIPO packs can require a break in time of 8 -10 charges before they get to their full potential. The battery problem I had is not an issue any more and I am going to keep the SDNA 200 instead of trading. I love everything about the mod except the battery issue so I am now a happy camper.

On Fasttech's site they make the statement "DIY (let the customer follow their’s inclinations, providing customers with endless possibilities)" lends me to believe that they may have some way to customize the vape characteristics. ? . ? I think that in order to make it worthwhile they must provide the ability to customize the screen with your own wallpaper. :)

Well, I am again disappointed when I woke up yesterday and my SMY SDNA would not turn on at all. I have been using the Hcigar VT200 more and it seems to be holding up really well. I sent the SMY in to my vendor for a refund and decided to go ahead and get another VT200. My main DNA 200 mod will still be the Reuleaux but its heavier and fatter than the VT200 which makes it a little more uncomfortable to carry around. The VT200 is much lighter and thinner so I like to take it on the go. Sorry for the mixed results but just trying to keep everyone informed

The VT200 is really a great little mod and for a hair under $120 it's a bargain imo (DNA boards are around $80 alone)

PS Sorry to hear about your SMY

Happy Holidays,
Steve
