So I pulled the DIY trigger...

So I've been thinking about trying my hand at DIY e-liquid for a few months and finally pulled the trigger this weekend and made an order with a few places to get everything I need. I didn't want to drop an absolute ton of money on flavoring right off the bat, so I went to e-liquid-recipes.com and found a couple of flavors I wanted to make - a simple strawberries and cream, found here: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/104221/Mustard+Milk+-+Simple+Strawberries+and+Cream, and a Cereal Killa clone, found here: http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/58656/Cereal+Killer, and ordered the flavorings needed for those two, and wanted to get some opinions from you guys on what other "common" flavors would be good to have around for future DIY endeavors, as well as if there are any better options for the VG/PG/nic bases. Here's what I ordered in total:

1qt Essential Depot VG
1qt Essential Depot PG
30ml 100mg VG unflavored nicotine from ecigexpress.com
30ml Bavarian Cream (TPA)
30ml Blueberry Wild (TPA)
30ml French Vanilla (TPA)
30ml Strawberry (TPA)
30ml Strawberry Ripe (TPA)
30ml Sweet Cream (TPA)
30ml Sweetner (TPA)
30ml Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)

Obviously I'm pretty limited as to what I can make right now, so I'm definitely wanting to make another flavor order in a couple weeks. Any input/beginner advice/etc. is greatly appreciated!

Hahaha, I'll definitely look that flavor up. If nothing else, it definitely sounds interesting, lol.

My flavoring should be here in a day or two, but I think the nicotine will be closer to Friday for me as well. I'll probably whip up a couple 0-nic test batches because I tend to have the patience of a lit fuse, lol.

I have been at this a week now and I am more than pleased with my DIY. I didn't realize just how bad the bargain juices I was vaping were. Glad I took the plunge. I have taken to making juice without nic because I was vaping these new flavors a little too often.

For max VG juice, I recommend using Flavour Art (FA), due to higher concentration, you have smaller amounts of flavor to add. IMHO, the FA flavors in general are more realistic too.

I think there should be a warning put into the DIY sections... something along the lines of **Warning! DIY is a Slippery Slope!!**

I began my DIY endeavors with about $60 in purchases.... have since made another approximately $250 in orders and my "original order was just last weekend...ofcourse this order includes a RDA and tools so that I can taste my mixes without emptying and filling my tanks...

Yes, an RDA is good for testing your DIY juice. When you only have one available, you might want to do a wick less coil build, thus avoiding the re-wicking all the time.
