my question is does having an addy on top of the mod drain power when not in use or just the 555 timer. i am asking this because i set both my mods down on the table and left them for like 8 hours and one drained alot more than the other. both are made by xray box mods the builds i had in them was a .3 juggernaut in a vcmt rta and a massive 8 wrap tri core alien also .3 in the big buddah and the mod with the big buddah drained alot more then the mod with the vcmt...im puzzled

It really has nothing to do with what you have in the atty, or even the fact of having an atty on it at all; some mods have a flaw that causes drastic "background" draining, and if it gets bad enough, there's really nothing to do but trash the mod. I had an eleaf that drained rapidly even when it was turned off! It was one of the early 30w ones with the integrated battery, so I just taped the 510 connector and put it in the battery recycle at Home Depot.
