To start, I am not new to vaping, currently my set up is the sigelei 150tc paired with the horizon arctic tank utilizing the .2 ohm coil and I vape around 80 watts. That being said I will also state the following:
I know that I can build coils, and I also understand ohms law, I know the difference in reg. And mech. And I know the difference between coil materials eg. Kanthal, ss, ni200 titanium ...bla bla bla...
That being said, I am only interested in regulated mods, occ, coils, and sub-ohm tanks, yes perhaps in the future, providing there is one I will get myself an RDA and build coils, however, as a single father of three children 6,4,2, you can appreciate that I don't have the time, so I need two things....
#1: what is the best subhom tank, I'm thinking the smok tfv4, I like my clouds, which leaves me to number 2
#2: what is the best mod to pair with the the tank I have, the problem I have is that, I am deciding between the ipvd2 and the sigelei 75, problem is, what I want for my secondary setup will be maxing the wattage on a 75 watt mod, and on a single 18650 setup I'm not sure what batt life i would expect any help.....

I love my EvicVT Mini . 75 watts and it has option for temp control on SS coils (stainless Steel) it's amazing.
You and are pretty much on same level w vaping.
I personally am not crazy w the tvf4 and prefer the crown. Which also supports SS TEMP control the evicVT Mini offers.
That's what I did.
I know there's new mods out often but this is a small perfect device i love it!
I love the Arctic as well there's a new Arctic I'm wondering about looking to see if anyone tried yet lol
Some people love the tvf4 others don't.
That's a personal preference but you will use the sig 150 more(I would)
I'm amazed at the kick the small evicMini has... Seriously.
I also have the Sig,an evicVT regular.
Good luck w your choices

well if you dont want to a tank that has no prebuilt coils only build yourself. the tfv4 is going to give you the most options, and most believe its right up there at the top of the list in terms of flavor, plus you can get the rba base(s) and build your own coils later

For using just prebuilt coils
most here will say the crown.

in terms of a single battery mod
the D3 goes to 80 watts so you could do ok with your artic. it also does TC for NI and TI but no SS
battery life is going to be half of what you get using the artic on your sig 150 which is dependent on how much and often you vape.

If 75w is enough for you, then the evic vtc is going to be one if not the best choice
or
the treebox mini which does everything the evic does and looks sweet imho
OR
the xcube mini

Battery life with any of these tanks is not terribly good with any single battery box. I have several, including the D2, and while I love it it's still a single battery. I don't recommend the Sigelei 75w for high wattage - those batteries cut off way too early at high watts. If funds are an issue (aren't they always) and you just want to use regular power mode you can get an Istick 100w for around $30, and then you'll need married pairs of batteries (get them somewhere reputable like liionwholesale.com or another recommended store). You might also consider something like an IPV3Li, which seems to be a very solid dual battery box.

As to tanks, I don't have the TFV4, so I can't comment on that - but I have noticed that the coils are extremely expensive. I do have several Crowns, which I love, and the coils are frequently on sale for $6-$8/pack.

Agreed..and tfv4 has a RBA deck that makes it a great all around tank..

At 75w I think the TFv4 won't be your best option. Don't get me wrong I love the tank, but having tried most of the premade coils the ones I like best are the Quad and Clapton, both of which I use more than 75w. Clapton I liked best at 80-95w, quad sings best at 110-125w for me. So I can't help but feel that won't be your best option. You can of course use the RBA decks to make a coil that will work splendidly at 75w but then you're basically having an RTA and you have to question whether you might like something like a Crius better.

I currently run one of my TFv4s on a sig150 (no tc) and it's fantastic, but I generally run it at 100w+. My TFv4 Mini I run either the clapton coil on that same sigelei or one of the RBAs with a higher ohm coil on a sleeker mod at 20-50w depending on the coil.

Overall from what I've experienced not having tried the TC coils or the higher ohm coils for the TFv4, I can say that at a 75w max I'd probably prefer my old Atlantis tank. Now there are probably much better tanks at that wattage limit than the Atlantis but my point is while I love the TFv4 I think that limitation would leave you with better fitting options like maybe the Crown or that new Herekles Plus sounds quite nice (but I've never tried them). Bump that mod up to 100w and I'd change my opinion, but I just feel you'd be better served with something other than a TFv4 under 100w unless you plan on using it mainly for it's RBA decks.

Overall I feel like the TFv4 best suites someone who wants to build their own coils but wants the freedom to slap in a premade and go if need be (my situation this last weekend when I had to leave for business but didn't have the time to dial in a new coil build). So if that fits your needs, then absolutely I'd suggest the tank, but if you want to run mainly premades you're better off with something else, and so is your wallet.

Hey bud, got the crown (in stainless, for obvious reasons) on the ipv d2, been beating on this tank for about 2 weeks and am in "lust" with it. I say lust because it's too soon to love it ;) my buddy has the tfv4 and that shit drinks juice, my crown kinda drinks juice on a .25 duel SS coil (prebuilt coil head that came with the kit) at 50watts, but the flavor is amazing and true. I vape a max VG and never had a burnt hit at 75 watts (and that was filling my car with vapor just to be a dick lol) but I took maybe 6 or 7 hits in a row (direct lung 6seconds a piece) and still didn't get a dry hit, I stopped cuz I almost burnt my lip on the drip tip....err.... That sounded extremely wrong. I digress. Tomorrow I'm going to go with the .15 Ni coil and try out the temp control.

As for the box, the sigeli (SP, I know) 150 Tc seems like a good choice, I used my buddy's for a week when I was vapeless (kanger subox shit the bed) I enjoyed it with my RDA (REM entry, twisted 24g at .19ohm at 100watts) the flavor was amazing, but that was a build on a dripper. I've heard good things about the evic vtc mini, but I chose the ipv due to the contour of it, it fits nice in my hand, not the typical "box" that everyone has. It(ipv d2),however, does not offer SS mode in TC mode, just Ti and Ni. Apparently (I heard, may be getting confused) you can toggle ti mode on the vtc by holding watt up and power for 5 sec? Or maybe another box, mod. Sorry if that was wrong info.

Anywho, good luck with ur choice.

EDIT: I have a Samsung 30q 3000mah battery and at 75 watts, I get maybe a tank out of that battery before switching it out. That's chain vaping tho, at 50 watts with the .25 ohm coil, I put a fresh battery (off the charger this morning) and have "half" the battery life left and used about a tank.

Yeah so. Just found the wismec rx200 for 50 bucks, so I threw that bad boy in the cart, triple 18650's with pass through charging so it seems that the arctic tank will stay on the sigelei for now. Now to pray to the postage gods for speedy delivery

Yup 3 Sony vtc4s on the way

Good choice for pairing with a FTV4, 'cause it needs power, and lots of eJuice.

Yea I'm also running the Sony's in my sigelei haven't had any issues, battery life isn't great, but I do run at 80 watts and I vape all day. Hopefully with the third battery I'll see better life, but ill be pushing that bastard above 100 watts so we'll see

With that 200w mod, you could enjoy the TFV4 or the upcoming Arctic V8 or Mutant tank. The newly released Herakles Plus would be nice if not really for the 100w plus. Today I put an 0.2 coil in my original Herakles tank and it is handling low 80w much better than the 0.6, less heat. I prefer this to original Arctic for flavor and clouds, and it outperforms my Crown. But hard to argue against that TFV4 for your new mod.

I was actually looking at the Arctic v8 looks pretty badass can't seem to find a release date though, and I'll also wanna see the reviews first, that's why I chose the tfv4 I originally was looking at the arctic turbo but seems like a bad design and has some bad reviews also

Vertical Coil on the Single RBA with the TFv4 can run well above 150, I believe one of the people (guy who made a thread on these forums which inspired me to make mine) runs his up to 200w without missing a beat. Anyways check it out, it's in the general rebuildable forum area.

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/new-tfv4-vertical-coil-rba.141246/

Here's the link.

I really enjoyed my 24g Kanthal triple wire twisted build (i think it was 5 wraps, I'd have to find the coil, I saved it because it was solid). But right now I'm using a 26g 316 SS twisted at about 3mm pitch helixed with 2 strands of 32g Kanthal twisted, the problem with the 24g Kanthal was the slow ramp up time, but it held the temperature such that once I got it started I could get a few solid vapes out of it before setting it aside, so it was great for chain vaping. This new coil though is perfect so far, SS heats up much quicker but I found that alone was a bit too much heat, so the helix around it cools it down a tad, making it overall quite excellent. Overall somewhere between the triple and quad coil, not quite the cloud that the quad produces, nearly as much juice comsumption/vapor, but it's far more dense which is what I enjoy. I think I did 6 wraps around a 4mm post. Reading just under 3Ω.

Anyways, single RBA is great, however some modifications are necessary to optimize it, I drilled out the deck to allow larger gauges into the openings (1/16 bit), and I drilled 2 juice flow holes in the hood. I liked to call it the abomination but to put it in more understandable terms it's an Atlantis coil on steroids. Tightly packed cotton, 1/2 a pad of ko-gen-do cotton in there wrapped up tightly.

It's a fun little hobby of mine trying to perfect this and get exactly what I want. So far I've been pushing it beyond what I expected/desired. My previous attempt was just under 2Ω and it replicated the Quad Coil almost perfectly (just 2 strands of 32g helixing 24g SS twisted) but the density lacked which is my same critique of the quad coil.

To the point, if you enjoy the prebuilt coils and want to get something similar on the RBAs I think the single RBA in a vertical design is where you want to look. It takes some adjustments, but in the end it's very much worth the work, especially if you enjoy playing with things.

I just bought two more single RBA kits so I can continue my play, I'll drill out another one for higher wattage stuff and leave the other alone for smaller clapton/twisted designs for my "sneaky" sleek setup for pubic vaping. There's a lot of complaints about the single RBA with this tank but when you go vertical I think it's the best of the bunch. Dual is great of course, Clapton shows promise but I'm having leaking issues still, and then of course the premade coils are great for what they are, but just don't suite me as well as I'd like. Though I enjoy the freedom of having them available so that I can swap to them if the need arises (which it has).

Sorry for the long rambling post, but I do love this tank, it's perfect for me, RBAs to play with and set things up to my liking, but with premades that I find enjoyable. It may not be the best RTA or the best pure Tank, but it's a nice hybrid. TFv4 is a jack of all trades to quote an overused figure of speech. I can have my MTL sneaker with my Mini and a cloud chucking flavor pumping abomination with the full size. I really can't complain.

About the sub ohm tank,tfv4 was my favorite before. But recently Indulgence released their first sub ohm tank(Indulgence Mutank).I received it several days ago.The large vapor and great flavor are pretty awesome, especially based on a high wattage. No one tank could do it at present, even tfv4,I think 70-80w is best for it,however mutank could be higher. They should be the King of sub ohm tank

About the mod, what I used it sigelei 150w.And I have to say they are very professional in box mod.So I suggest you could choose sigelei 75w

Yup I got the mutank its pretty awesome, funny though the day before it came in a friend of mine that I recently turned on to vaping brought me a mutation x v4 and I rolled some coils and ended up with a .17 build on some twisted nichrome and now the tank kinda sits on the shelf lol
