Im using the goon rda with staggered fused clapton and it will not stop spitting. Reading .w1 firing at 90 watts and 4.35 volts. Idk how to stop it from shooting massive amounts of juice into my mouth

Less juice? I have fused claptons in mine at 50w and I put enough juice for a good 3-4 rips...no spit back

Whats your pg/vg of your juice? Higher pg will spit more.

Might have to increase airflow, hit it harder, or turn down the wattage. Or some combination of the 3. Worth a try.

I've always found claptons to be spitty, or any coil that ramps up slowly. Sometimes it's a matter of finding the right wattage or position of the coils in relation to airflow too. I also don't buy into the 'less is more' theory of wicking. I've always felt less cotton = more spitback so I always like a decent amount of cotton with the ends just touching the bottom of the juice well.

I usually have large amounts of spit back when my coils are a decent amount larger than my airflow holes, or i have hot spots in my coils, and even if you work them out prior to wicking they can still pop up during wicking if you're trying to get too much cotton through them or you move the coils too much, also if you have thin juice it can spit more, I'd try lowering the wattage, strumming your coils, or hitting harder.

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

Using the Goon with similar builds, at around 100W, 80/20, 2 out of the 3 airholes open on each side and no spitback whatsoever.

Checking for hotspots (before wicking) and slight adjustments to the coils position closer or further from the airholes, up or down, may help.

If you also have a lot of popping sounds, adjusting the wick may help.

The spacing between the Clapton wrap causes spitback. Very common in twisted coils. Doesn't happen with parallel coils that don't have spaces in between the coils.

I do believe it is the airflow. I changed the wick. Re adjusted and checked for hot spots on thw coil. Its lighting from insidw out. And i have 80/20 vg juice. Im going to move to 100 watts and try 2 airholes. Lets see if this helps.

Add a baffle to the driptip...... the drop a pipe screen into the bottom of the tip.

You really think that will help

Eliminating the spacing will help. Using a screen may work, but it could also just split the larger drops into smaller ones, causing more spit back. I would try changing the coils before altering your tank.

I changed the cotton and made it a little thinner. It is now spitting less. I believe it is the staggered fused claptons because they have little holes all over the coil
