That thing looks really cool, and love the look of the air control ring, and goes up to a 3.1mm hole, good stuff :)

Looks very cool...
I liked the original's design, but never got around to buying it as I got Aqua clones and a Fogger v4.

Here a vid from Todd on it:

I got the original design a few weeks back, I love how simple it is and easy to build, but I got the fogger at the same time, and the fogger even though more tricky to build, it is a lot better vape, due to being a dual coil device.

Wow just watched that vid. So easy to build. Does the v1 build the same way???

Yes the deck is no different, except you can change bases on it. but otherwise same to build.

Ok I just watched a few different build vids. Is there a rule of thumb how high the coil should be in the chamber?? I watched one where it seemed kinda high.

The build I did, the coil is sat level with the base, not touching the base, but sat in the channel, and is working fine for me, as most of these rebuildable tanks, it's getting the wick right, you don't want it to short, but don't want it coming to far down in the channels, the wicking length Todd did in his review, is the same way I did mine, and it is working good.

I build exclusively with cotton yarn. I'm wondering if a doubled over piece would suffice in that channel.

And when you say level with the base do you mean the coil is centered or the bottom sits at the same level as the base???

I took a picture of my deck, one of the really nice things about the squape, is you can take deck off without emptying your juice out, picture not the best, but can see only half of the coil is sticking above the deck

Cool so looks like you put it around center level with the deck. Good info. Thanks @Nailz I have some Paypal moola. Think I will try one out. Found the Hcigar clone for $24 shipped on ebay.

The only real complaint I have with the one I got, the chimney is so tight to the wall of the Squape, I have to loosen the chimney to be able to squeeze a syringe down the side to fill, but as your looking at the Hcigar one, doubt it will be as bad as mine is.

FAIK, they are one of the suppliers that Infinite uses for their output, but it's anyone's guess whether or not it's the same QC involved from batch to batch.

I get mine at Wal-Mart. It is called Peaches & Creme. Less than $1.50 for a 120 yard spool. In the sewing section.

I'm sure a clone will be coming soon. Just picked up a HCigar v1 Squape clone for $24 shipped.

I was given the chance to buy one at 170 bones. Way too freaking much money for an atty. No wonder why the clone empire makes money, $25, hell even $50 for a good 1:1 clone of the Squape R and I'll buy one.

I just saw a review on the IGO-M, I gotta have one of them.. but I have wanted a Squape for a long time, I wonder which will be on my desk first?

hi guys this is my first post BTW :)
My cousin purchased it (plus the wide ceramic base to wick it with cotton) and has the best flavour ever. I have Kayfuns, Tayfuns, Fogger and Russians and this baby beats them all. I dont know if that ceramic coating is the reason but is way above the rest.
Another + is that the base is non cunductive so you dont have to worry about the coils touching it (my cousn in fact did test on purpose bulding a coil making contact with the base and didnt make a dent). Excellent airflow and wicking, you wont get dry hits either.
On the cons, the HUGE price, and the fact that you have to purchase an additional ceramic base if you want to use it with cotton (but anyway for someone that was already going to spend 135 euros 20 or 25 euros more is not a big deal, I suppose). Note: is huge.

I picked some up but have not tried it yet, how is the flavor compared to cotton?

Busardo did a review on the Squape R, he did mention that it's out of stock all over the place and that causes clones to be bought. He's right. I wonder when the mod makers and atty makers are going to realize that if they make an item so exclusive that only reviewers and a few well connected vapers get one, that it only encourages clone competition.

The clone debate is so dumb. Buy what you want, sell what you want. Make a quality product at a decent price and it won't be a problem. Make a quality product at an inflated price and you basically have one option, exclusivity. These attys and mods are so inflated its insane. I have plenty of authentic gear, but I also have a few clones. It's really simple.
