Throughout September, IGN is featuring the best TV coming your way in the 2018-2019 season. Today we're visiting a galaxy far, far away for a look at Star Wars Resistance, the latest animated effort from Star Wars Rebels creator Dave Filoni. Resistance follows Kazuda "Kaz" Xiono (Christopher Sean), "a young pilot recruited by the Resistance for a top-secret mission to spy on the growing threat of the First Order." The new series premieres Sunday, Oct. 7 on Disney Channel.
Following in the footsteps of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance aims to fill in a period of time that remains unexplored in the franchise's main saga - taking place before the events of The Force Awakens to offer insight into the inner workings of the Resistance and its scrappy band of rebel pilots and spies.
