So,I know im talking a small percentage of the vaping community,but if there is a snowballs chance in hell,i gotta take it.If you didnt vape before 2011 this probably wont mean anything to you.
I know this is a sore subject for most of vapers from back then.
But how many of you guys remember that flavor?

Anyone ever figure out what they put in the oldschool original ry4 from way back,2009-2010-2011?Havent seen anything about it in a while.We all know the story of the guy who made the recipe.

that is the flavor that got me off the cigs,was the best flavor ive ever had.,never had another like it.Man, When they changed the recipe,i still had a box full of cartos(yes cartos,lol feel old)I used them sparingly after that,like a treat,man that was hard.
i could never nail down that flavor.I cant even describe it,so looking for it is shotting in the dark.even tried pandan flavor.....not it.at least how ive tried it.
I know after that old stock ran out and they changed the recipe,everyone and their brother came out with an ry4 that was supposed to be like the original.i bought them all,from everyone that made them... cha-ching$$$$$!
so here it is years later and much more diy eliquid makers,experimenters.
And another thing,anyone know what year they came out with that ry4?I thought it was one the original flavors from those kiosks in the mall,I think it was Ruyan also.I was just thinking that if these new regulations pass,they would be forced to bring back out the old flavors (and recipes)from back in 2007.

i remeber ludo at janty was supposed to have helped with the flavor back then,but jantys ry4 is nothing like the old dekang version,its ok,but not the original.a lot sweeter than the dekang was.and its missing something,a flavor that i cant describe,not vanillla ,not caramel.

Have you tried Hangsen's? I know back in the day, RY1 was highly coveted so maybe their RY4 is good as well??

Yeah,tried Hagsen,wasn't even close to the original,such a shame this recipe is lost,last batch I seen was in 2009 -2010,and only in carts,the place I bought them( vapor kings I believe said that the carts were filled with feel life liquid,but none of the feel life ry4 were that flavor,there was a certain flavor in the old ry4 that just isn't around anymore,it wasn't that sweet like all the rest,the caramel was mellow not overpowering,tasted like a really good tob flavor in it also,and then that something else,just could never put my finger on that other flavor,such a shame,I've spent s much back then trying every 4 that came out,imo none were worth vaping,period,I never finished a bottle,exept one that was kinda close,maybe 4/10.still didn't have that certain flavor.and it was from a man that supposedly helped come up with the original.i held on to those carts filled the the reall ry4 for as long as I could to try to figure it out,but they were just too good to resist.any ideas on the elusive flavor in the Ruyan ry4?not the dekang garbage perfumery liquid.

What are you vaping with? Pre filled cartos always tasted different to me especially lower wattage compared to a modern 18650 mod/rta/rda setup, not to mention back in 2009 everything was high nic like 18mg or 24mg and mostly pg which will also impact the flavor. As I recall, Hangsen tastes pretty much spot on to the old Dekang ry4
