So from what I've read on the web PG with nicotine is best stored in the freezer and VG best stored in fridge. But I can't help thinking that all of the vape shops I've visited they got their juices stored in shelves. Pre mixed juices with nicotine as well a larger bottles of PG/VG nicotine blends. I assume the stock rotation are not constant and sometimes hard to predict. Are those shops selling products that are less good as they have been stored in room temperature?
Or does the critical part first occur when the seal of the bottles are broken and oxygen comes into play?
Reason I am asking is I am still waiting for a shipment of various bottles, both PET plastic ones and glass bottles. For mixing as well as for storage and freezing. But shipping has been slow and I just got my nicotine released yesterday after delay in custom. As soon as I got the nicotine PG I put it into the fridge, and I will brake the bottle open and rebottle into small ones when my shipment arrives. Looking at the tracking for the parcel with nicotine the shipment itself was about 2 weeks, then another week hold up in custom. And yesterday I got it picked up. I imagine the nicotine PG has been stored in room temperature or close to for the better part of 3 weeks now.
Is the nicotine already degraded? Should I just ditch that bottle and find another vendor closer to my country and pay for express shipment? And how do I know if the nicotine is degraded?
There are some vape shops across the border where I can get nicotine PG, but I have already visited those shops and they keep their nicotine stored on the shelves. So no telling how fresh that is, or if the blend has started to degrade and go bad.
I didn't realize getting nicotine should be such a hassle. I can't get here at home because nicotine jucies and blends are outlawed. But we are allowed to import small batches from EU countries.
I don't know if I should just put the whole mixing session at hold until I can score more nicotine PG, I would just hate doing batches after batches and waste both flavor and VG as well if the nicotine PG is already bad.
Thoughts, tips or tender of help much obliged.
