This week Storm joins the growing list of Marvel books wrapping up to make way for Secret Wars. Whether or not Greg Pak's run could have continued past this point, this issue certainly serves as a proper finale to his run. It puts Storm front and center in a battle to save the world, offering a resounding victory in a time when victories are few and far between for the X-Men.

Storm's final battle with Kenji serves multiple purposes. For one thing, it allows the heroine to cut loose in a way we've never seen before. Pak showcases just how vast her power is as Storm moves beyond weather control and taps into the planet's electromagnetic energies. The resulting battle crams in all the scope and spectacle Storm fans could ever ask for. This conflict also puts a nice bow on Storm's character arc and struggles over the course of the series. Pak loops in Marisol, Forge and Callisto and offers a sweeping look at Storm's past, present and future in the process. It's a solid character study and an examination of what makes Storm worthy to lead the X-Men in this troubled time.
