Scott, Stonebridge and the rest of Section 20 are back for one final 10-episode save the world/shoot 'em up mission. And once the action starts, as usual, it rarely lets up. There isn't even a slight attempt at character work here in the first episode of a season that's been labeled "Legacy." Not that deep characterization has ever been a true hallmark of Strike Back, but at least the previous season opened with our two co-alphas entertaining some thoughts about retiring from their strenuous, dangerous lives as badass warrior heroes.

Here, there was only the mission. Find the daughter of a British Ambassador who was kidnapped in Thailand in an attempt to puppet the poor man into delivering a bomb to his own embassy and wiping out a room full of North Korean delegates. And as usual, Section 20 faltered. As they usually do for most the season until the one true sinister plot is revealed and they manage to thwart doomsday with only seconds to spare. So despite all the impressive Thailand action (motorcycles, jet skis, etc), the girl fell through their fingers the first time around (causing her to lose one of her own).
