Currently I'm searching for a mod above my 100w coolfire 4 tc.I'm also looking for amother tank as well. I currently have a herakles plus. I would like one I could take above 100w. Looking for one that could be "better" than the herakles. I'm looking at the tfv4 or arctic v8. Or maybe a uwell crown or rafale, but those only max at 120. I'm not going to consistently vape that high but want to be able to if I want to. I'm considering rtas as well. My main question with them is do they produce more flavor and vapor than a similarly built sub ohm tank, or are they pretty similar? I would probably buy pre made coils until I got the hang of making my own.

Aromamizer supreme, I've been running 26/32 fused claptons at 100w and it's been great!

I don't see the point in deciding in advance to vape at X watts just because you can.
You should choose the tank you want and then run it at what's suitable for it.

I'm using the Aromamizer Supreme at 60-80W and feel no need to go to 100.

If you want to vape high just for the sake of vaping high, get the TFV8

nightshard is 100% right, wattage is just the power being given to the coil, nothing more. It's the coils themselves that are the driving force for flavor/vapor production. I have a 1.11Ω coil that gives a flavorful and rich vape superior to the old premade coil tanks I used to use (smaller cloud than my TFV4 but denser and more flavorful by far). I run that at 35-40w. Likewise i have a .08Ω coil I run on a mech giving me 150w+ and it's not all that much different (slightly bigger clouds which makes sense since it has much longer coils, more surface area.

Anyways, If you want something awesome, go with an RTA, but you need good coils to make it better. Lots of places to get them, just stay away from the factory made 26g/32g clapton crap, it's not good. Check out something like Purecoils.com or hit up @raymo2u to get some custom made coils that will last you a couple months (rewicking every few days though).

As for suggestions, Boreas is probably the best out there right now. However it is large and it makes it not a hands down favorite of mine (easily up there), my other favorite is the Diablo (clones but I use 2 of them now and love them). The Griffin also comes to mind as a good option, bigger build deck than the Diablo but there are things I like about the Diablo (flavor seems better, and it's compact). If 25mm is acceptable for you go with the Boreas for sure. If it's not and you want plenty of build space The Griffin. If you want something tiny the Diablo is great, though if you're new to building it may be frustrating working with the small space.

At this point I wouldn't really suggest any premade coil tank other than the Crown or some Atlantis style (Any that use those coils). Mainly the Crown has proven it's value and it's damn cheap. TFV4 I think is better, but not worth the extra cost. And the Atlantis style things are great because you can pick up replacement coils literally anywhere any coil is sold. But, again I'd go with an RTA if you're looking to upgrade, otherwise it won't really get all that much better.

Actually the build determines how many watts yhou will need to achieve a warm and enjoyable vape...a .08 Ohm build at 50w would barely fire, that same build at 200w will be a nice warm and smooth vape. a .3 Ohm build at 200w is hot enough to burn your mouth but at 50w is a great vape...there is a reason for the madness of high wattage...unless your using the same coils that work well at 50w and try for high wattage vaping, then your a jackass.
Its pretty easy to see the scale for how many watts will do the job, 3.8V is a great vape on most builds...the wattage will differ (usually rise) the lower the resistance your build is..Coil mass and outer wrap thickness will affect the wattage needed also...

I have the Boreas and love it, took it up to 152w in power mode but vape it in TC at about 420 deg. F. I also have the Alleria more of a flavor rta. Took the Alleria in the 150s also. It all depends upon the coils and mod you use.
