WARNING: Rant ahead
I'm getting frustrated with this thing. I'll start off by saying I am not a "noob" I have been vaping for 4 years and have tried it all. I have been building and rebuilding for most of that time. I don't know it all of course, but I am a quick learner and search out information constantly. But sometimes I get stuck....
I'm having a bad issue with juice spitting. I've googled and searched. Here, ECF, reddit, etc... And I tried everything. Wicking. That's what everyone says. And I've tried IT ALL.
I don't use the replaceable heads as they cost money and I don't want to spend money. Especially with how often I switch flavors. I want to build, wick, rinse, rewick, repeat. The RBA was the reason I got this tank.
I just keep ending up with juice in my mouth. And I constantly pull out the tip (lulz), and clean up the pooled juice.
Last night I spent a few hours on this. I have two RBA's. Stock and one where I doubled the size of the juice channels, and I tried both. Two different bases and even swapped out gaskets. I use high VG juice most of the time and never got a dry hit. I built a dozen coils... Micro, macro, spaced, touching, leads under the coil, leads over the coil so it's right above the airhole, 28 gauge, 26 gauge, 24 gauge, rayon, Japanese cotton, too much cotton, too little cotton, cotton just touching the deck, pancake, tight in the coil, loose in the coil, high watts, low watts.... And I still get spitting.
I did use the same juice through all of this which was a brand new bottle of M F'n Donut. I could feel juice blasting out the drip tip when I put my tongue in front of the hole. I was actually drinking the juice (and burned through 1/3 the bottle).
I did eventually give up and go back to my DIY Grant's clone (80/20) and a spaced coil wrapped around a #6 machine screw wicked with rayon. My usual setting and ADV.
I did notice the M F'n donut spit A LOT more (like freaking crazy) then other juices which probably made things worse for me. But even with my ADVs that I am familiar with I still get juice in my mouth.
What the hell????

Should I just get used to this thing spitting and deal with it? My Kayfuns never did this, and outside of more airflow they are very similar.
Do some juices spit no matter what? No idea but maybe PG spits more then VG? Never thought of that.
I don't want to go back to dripping and I need (want) more airflow then my Kayfuns give.
