Subzero shorty/legendary size

How long is the Sub Ohm Innovations Shorty & Legendary? I checked the SOI website and all I see is diameter. I bought a SubZero off a friend and he said it was the "regular competition Sub Zero, not shorty" Was there a earlier version out before the Legendary? It doesn't have the lock ring of the Legendary and the button looks like the one on the Shorty. It's about 3.5" long (approx. 88mm give or take). I'm guessing it's the shorty and that he was just mistaken when he said it wasn't.

The Legendary is longer...

Other Differences are the Copper Contacts were switched to Silver plated Copper; Clutch, Pins, Locking Switch.

Pictured above is a side by side...if you take the switches away and the top caps...they are then the same.

EDIT: My shorty is 3.5" long without the 510 Floating pin part. 3.75" with it

EDIT2: The picture isn't of the Shorty I own, just a google pic showing the differences side by side of the 2.

I have no issues what so ever with worrying about autofiring with the Shorty, the tension of the switch is IMO perfect.

I also love the design and functionality of the switch on the SubZero along with it's uber clean and sleek looks, I just love this Tube (why I have 4).

Thanks! I am aware the Legendary is longer, just curious of the lengths. Here is a pic of mine and button, is this a Shorty? Or was there any earlier models prior this could be?

That's the Shorty, you'll see the Legendary has engraving and button is larger as @So619Cal has shown in their photo

Why don't you run the rda in hybrid mode with the subzero mech? Curious but maybe you didn't know it is threaded to fit to reduce the size.
