Ok, so I have been vaping for around 3 years. I have been using a koopor plus mod with the alliance fog wind drip tank. I recently swapped to the vpark box tc150. I like the mod, but I got tired of constantly refilling my drop while on the road. So my friend gave me an ego one mega tank. I put a new coil with bigger fluid holes in it. But I still don't have the full flavor from my banana cream juice like I did with my drip. Any input?

You have found the shortcoming of why things progressed beyond the ego style tanks. Smaller airflow/coil size/wicking volume, all impede flavor. Check out a RDTA like the Limitless, to fill the tank role with similar flavor.

Most people I've heard that use drippers more than tanks, prefer the flavor of their dripper. A lot of people recommend genny tanks if you want to use a tank. You won't be able to sit it on it's side, but you won't have to keep dripping.

I haven't used anything by ego since the ego t and now I see why they are mostly unused now

What exactly is a genny tank?
I like the Uwell tank but haven't invested in one yet

A Genesis tank is a type of RTA that is designed for using a rolled SS mesh, similar to that of screen doors. It has its advantages such as not having to replace it very often, but it also has its "CONS" its the the easiest, it can be frustrating, It can have wicking issues and hot spots , leg issues. Also you have to do the genny tilt so you get no dry hits, and yes they cant be kept on its side for the most part.

There are lots of YT how to's .
I finally was able to get a Genesis going, but I would not recommend it if you are still newish or even at it for a year or so.

Dripping vs RTAs. the gap has closed in my opinion. There are many RTAs out there that give you the same taste , same warmth etc as a dripper, minus the constant dripping. A good RTA can give you the best of all with the added convenience of being able to have an "on the go" atty with no leaks and up to 5ml capacity.

I do have a couple drippers. 2 Origens for my gross NET liquids and one for testing out new flavors.
I have used the same liquid in my RTAs and on the RDAs and there is no difference.

The coil and wicking are at the top, the tank is at the bottom. Your wicking soaks up the juice, instead of gravity doing it for you.

Also have hybrid-ish genesis style tanks... some genny's can also use silica/rayon rope wick .. easier to start with for wicking than a SS mesh wick.. but something like an avocado / avocado 24 gives you the choice of wicking with cotton and using the genny style 'tank under' - I am a fan of this style, might be something that will fill the gap for you

I'd check out some youtube's re tanks and builds as @anavidfan suggested
