Wow. That's a pretty extreme choice. You could get 4 D2's for the price of one SX mini. That said, the SX mini has absolutely first rate build quality and it has upgradeable firmware. It's probably the better mod, but the price difference is so stark that getting an IPV D2 makes a lot of sense. It's also a nice mod (but not perfect). The D2 has 15 watts more power and is insanely small (pocket friendly), plus when it gets obsolete you can simply get a new mod and still pay less than the SX mini. They're both solid units so there's really no wrong choice.

I just got an eVic VTC Mini today. It does everything the SX Mini does at a quarter of the price. We have so many great mods to choose from right now. Honestly, just get the one you like. They all kick ass.

I don't have any price limit,(200 its ok) i was going straight for the sx mini but ipv d2 released and im a little confused about that because some vape friends told me that the only difference is the build quality

If price isn't an issue then the SX Mini is probably the way to go. It has more going for it than build quality. That said, the D2 does have a few advantages over the SX Mini. While the D2 isn't anywhere near as high quality as the SX, the D2 has temp control settings for titanium coils and 15 extra watts. You may not care about TC for titanium but it's worth mentioning. Of course, the SX Mini might get a firmware upgrade to let it control titanium or even stainless steel at some point. Honestly, if it was my decision, I'd buy an SX Mini without question.

EDIT: Turns out that the XS Mini already has an upgrade to use titanium in temp control. Gotta love upgradeable nods.

No, it doesn't.
For several reasons I'm sure, ruggedness, (v fast charging etc., P4Y went with the barrel plug connector instead of USB. There will be no firmware updates to the D2.

Reread my post. I said "the SX mini has absolutely first rate build quality and it has upgradeable firmware". I never said that the D2 had upgradeable firmware. I was pointing out that the SX Mini can be upgraded as an advantage over the D2.

Gack, absolutely correct, thanks for the catch. I think my eye was drawn to the "D2" on the line above.

Not a problem. I don't always construct my sentences as clearly as I would like. My grandfather, father, & oldest sister were all English teachers. I should be better at this. (;一_一)

If you have the cash go as mini m class. Not even comparable. Don't get me wrong I have the ipv v4 & 3 and ipv d2. They 're cool but not nearly as true as the sx. You're not getting the true wattage from the lesser devices. 60 watts on the ax mini is more power than 60 watts on ipv's evic vt ect......

Sx mini already got that upgrade a while ago. And with two baths it's 120 watt piece.

SX Mini has a current firmware upgrade to Ti and 75w single battery/150w dual battery. It just won't go over 40w in Eco mode with the single battery but all other modes give you the full power.

Thanks, that's the one I read a couple of days ago.

Unlike say cars with their "new model year", vape hardware is moving so damn fast, we have "new model quarter". "Hey, I got the Q2 '15... what are you hittin' ?" :p
I got the Q2 1/2 '15 that has 6 more watts than the Q2 '15!
