Not seeing a lot of people talking about this tank, but given the lack of single coil sub-ohm options out there I thought I'd throw this up.
Got mine a few days ago (took 2 weeks) and I gotta say...I'm impressed overall. For the less then $12 I paid after the coupon code it's pretty damn solid value that's worth a look for those out there looking for something stupid simple:
- Fairly large and cupcake as they come to build on deck.
- Wicks pretty well, almost of par with the Aromimizer RTDA. This aspect was particularly important to me btw, as I don't really have a lot of patience for "this tank work greats if/when you get the wicking *just* right" stuff. Put 3 different coil builds in it so far, with no real effort put into the wicking beyond a simple cut/paste to the deck mind you, and nailed all 3 first try. .5-.8 with both Kanthal/SS in power mode, keeps up solid at the 25'ish range i vape with it.
- Flavor is pretty solid, which says something given i generally find everything to taste muted. That I actually notice a difference was kind of a win in itself. I usually vape a little higher then the above 25w on the RTDA, but the better flavor I get on this leaves me enjoying the extra flavor I don't get on the RTDA when turning it down a tad.
- Non-adjustable airflow, which while a con wasn't a big deal for me personally because i just always tend to vape any tank i ever use wide open anyway. For those that want an airflow upgrade to their Subtank Mini, but don't don't want to go full blown RTDA, that is probably the best description I can give to anybody who happens to be familiar with both tanks. For me...it hits a sweet spot that doesn't find me wishing i had more.
The above said, I do find it to have 2 major cons:
- They still are not selling replaceable glass tanks for it, so if it breaks you are either screwed for now or playing the hunt down something with matching dimensions game.
- The top portion of the tank, which was supposed to come fully apart, came with the o-rings essentially glued to the tank. On mine at least. That sucker isn't coming off, at least without taking the risk of breaking the glass off to do it. Which sucks extra because i have some black O-rings i'd love to replace those light blue ones with.
Anyway, it's worth a look as a solid single coil option imo.
