Tank Search

I need some help. I am looking for all the available MTL tanks with top air flow control, top fill, ceramic coil optional or exclusive, and no more than 22mm. I am not interested in making coils as I have plenty of those tanks already. I own the Cubis and iSub Apex, have a Vaporesso Guardian on order, and am aware of the Vaporesso Drizzle which I will be getting soon. The Vaporesso Veco is to large at 25mm. I also have the Aspire Nautilus X on order. Any suggestions as to tanks I have overlooked or failed to discover would be greatly appreciated. I would even appreciate any leads on tanks that may be coming out soon.

I think that still has the bottom air flow on it. I don't know why but every single tank that I have with a bottom air flow will eventually leak on me and, far worse, my wife! When she vapes that is. I love my Vaporesso Tarket tank for flavor but every time I try to vape it, it will be going along fine and then all of a sudden it is as if I were drilling for oil and hit a gusher. But thanks.

Hmm... i've got quite a few BAF tanks and have never had that problem. That leads me to think there is a seal issue as the tank builds a "vacuum" upon using it if primed correctly.

Was looking at the airflow specs and designs.

As far I have ever seen --- all tanks will have a bottom air flow. The coil has to pass air somehow to keep it cooled off. I can't say I have ever ran across a tank that didn't have bottom air flow.

Some more options are Joyetech Ultimo, Cerabis 44 or 45, Tobeco Super Tank or Mini with 1.8 Herakles ceramic coil, Herakles Plus with different 1.8 ceramic.

Starre Pure is 25mm but top airflow and ceramic.

Real question is how important is mtl. Some of these are restrictive dl but not mtl like a Nautilus.

Super Tank could use Triton mtl 1.8 if other coils too airy.

I have to second phantomop, all my tanks are BAF and none leak - apart from when the coil floods.
I'd recommend the serpent sub, it ticks all your boxes apart from BAF, but as i just said, when it leaks its the coil that's flooded or gunked up and with a new coil doesn't leak a thing.

Than again, there's a lot of bad talk about the gs air m (not related) it was my first tank and I've never had a problem with it.

All this just leads me to belive it's not the actual tanks but how each person individually uses it, apart from obvious possible manufacturing issues.

You are all quite right it is probably something to do with the way I vape. If all of the tanks on the market leaked as they do for me then they wouldn't be on the market very long. But that is why I have come to the specific conditions listed above as to what works for me. The top flow air control tanks like the Cubis where there is no separation or disconnect between the tank and the base have been the best performers for me. I do understand your point about the air flow but I am talking specifically about the air flow control. If the coil in the Cubis floods it does not leak out a bottom air flow control. Nor is there a gasket between the tank and base to wear out, or never fit correctly to begin with, and begin to leak. I do need to take back what I said about never having a tank with the characteristics that I am seeking to avoid working well. The Nautilus Mini has been an exceptional performer. But my wife uses the larger Nautilus ( 4 of them) and has leaking problems regularly. I will be making a concerted effort to convert her to one of the tanks for which I am requesting information. I do change coils regularly and have a rather significant back stock on hand, so I don't hesitate to change the coils when necessary. And I definitely want MTL tanks. Not the least bit interested in clouds, or air flow that makes me feel like I am facing into an 80 mph wind with my mouth open (LOL). The Cubis works well for me but I really like the flavor provided by the ceramic coils that I have tried, hence this request for help. Plus I just like trying new shit! But thanks for the suggestions I do really appreciate your help.

I just looked at the product site for the Joytech Cubis -- This appears to be a new product. I can say that I've never seen this design before, and they make a couple of different MTL coils for this tank. Sounds like a keeper for MTL with no leak guarantee.

The Cubis I have. I had failed to notice the cuboid mini before. Don't think it would fit on any of my mods. Is it my imagination or will that tank become a problem when the threads get a little worn and a connection cannot be made while simultaneously lining up the tank with the mod? Thanks.

I've not dug through this thread yet, but they are discussing next-gen MTL tanks.

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/next-generation-mtl-tanks-part-2.245308/page-38#post-1497981

I am aware of this thread and the 1st as well. The discussion is more broadly defined than suits my needs. I have read quite a bit of it but I will admit I am somewhat lazy and that is a long thread. I do go back and check on it periodically. I just thought I would tap into the collective experience and intelligence of the vaping underground forum members and hopefully discover something I had missed. Thanks.

Check out Innokin iSub APEX 5ml tank. Top filling, top air flow, no leaking. I love it.

I have one of those and agree with you. Do you know if Innokin makes a ceramic coil for the Apex tank or of any ceramic coils out there that would work in it? Or for the Cubis? My Vaporesso Target tank produces a flavor that I really like, it just leaks like a sieve. The TFTAF tanks are just so hassle free that I will more than likely never buy anything else again. I chain vape all day long so that is also why I like tanks with premade atomizers. I will still build coils for my Squape Squared, my Aqua 2, and an RDA that I paid $5 for, because of the flavor they produce, but that is it.

I am not sure. I use the Clapton coils that came with it, and maybe I'm just lazy, but I never felt a compelling need to ever try something different.

Never mind on the ceramic coil for the Apex. Followed your link and looked again and they do have one. Then went and checked my Apex box and guess what? This is why I need help!!!!

There is a set screw to adjust the tank alignment.

There is a set screw to adjust the tank alignment.

Thanks. That makes that a different ball game. Always thought a rectangular tank like that would be a good idea because it would lower the overall height of the setup without necessarily compromising on tank volume.
