Magic Mike star Channing Tatum has confirmed that his new take on Gambit will not show up in X-Men: Apocalypse.
The actor ended the speculation about Gambit appearing in the superhero sequel film during his Ask Me Anything on Reddit this week. When Tatum was questioned about whether he's in X-Men: Apocalypse, he replied: "No ma'am, or sir. I definitely will not."
There was speculation Gambit would pop up in the 1980s-themed X-Men: Apocalypse, especially after director Bryan Singer said last year that he would like to include the card-throwing and staff-wielding mutant in the sequel. And Tatum wasn't as firm about his inclusion one way or the other earlier this year.
