The Turtles creative team faces a difficult task coming off their last arc, forced to position the narrative towards their final big story even as their characters continue to reel from the events of the last. It's a balancing act that proves tough to stick, as the looming finale leaves Tom Waltz and Kevin Eastman with quite a few irons in the fire and not much time to use them. Issue #46 reflects as such, the narrative bouncing around to just about everyone in an attempt to both lay the seeds for what's to come and check in on their emotional states.
