Test vaping and small batch mixing

I have two questions. What type of equipment do people use to taste test their DIY recipes? And how do you make a small batch? My smallest syringe only has .1ml markings. Can you make your small batches based on drops?

I guess I have 3 questions.

I usually use a RDA to test my new recipes but also a sub ohm tank since that is what I use 95% of the time. I usually mix 14 ml into a 15 ml bottle, the extra 1 ml of space is just to give it some room to give it a good shake.

The difference between mixing a 5ml test batch to a 14ml is not much, usually about .30 cents more at the most for a 8 flavor recipe and much less than that for a simple recipe. I like to have enough to try after a shake n vape in the RDA first and if I like it there then maybe about 3ml in a sub tank. If it is not too my liking then I just let it steep for a week or 2 and try it again. A lot of recipes have really changed from not to my liking to a possible all day vape after they have had time to fully steep. Some have actually changed from tasty to ehhhh, need to tweek the recipe after steeping as some flavors have become more pronounced to change the flavor profile too much.

I guess BCV has 1ml syringes with .01 markings. I guess I answered one of my own questions.

I agree with a rebuildable dripping atomizer ( RDA) The reason for this is that you canbuy a good one for under 10 bucks.....wrap yourself a 1.2 to 1.6 coil or whatever you prefer. Then you can put a few drops on the cotton, vape away. Then change up your juice by a drop here and there and do it again. The ability to change out the cotton very quickly is the key here. Its the best, quickest way to this. Also juices always taste the best in an RDA.

One of the formost DIY mixers/maker on this forum is HIC and he mixes with drops, and he comes up with many new juices weekly. I think Hic mixes 3 ml at a time. He uses a 3 or 5 ml bottle If memeory serves.

I use 10 ml bottles to test with but will mix 5 or 8 ml at a time incase I dont like it or I can add flavorings as I go.

My two cents. Theres always more than one way to skin a cat. ( some peope use scales and do it by weight)

PS... Forgot to say... I usedsyringes for making test batches for a couple years until Hic showed my the error of my ways. Drops are just so damn fast. You just have to test your particular flavor bottle your using and you need to find out how many drops it takes to fill up a 1 ml syringe. I figure 33 drops per 1 ml with the bottles I get from Ecigexpress/bull city/ etc....

I mix by weight, so much faster than using the syringe like I did when I first started. Drops can be done as well as long as the bottles and tips are the same, I can't do that though as I use nearly all the different flavor mfg's and all of the different bottles have varying differences.

HIC almost exclusively uses FA which are much more shake n vape friendly, if they were all I used I would probably do smaller batches as well. Variety is the spice of life for me though and Cap as well as TFA usually benefit from steeping so more is needed. This way I can try right away and have enough to tuck away to steep.
